Among friends—the mom. People feel comfortable coming to me. Try to see the good in people and comfort.

Sometimes forget yourself and your own needs. Last year—a friendship I had to cut off after constant warning.

I love seeing my friends, teachers happy. Gift giving. Constantly taken advantage of.

It got to me when it got in the way of my work.

Scientific angle on the environment. Being curious about others work. --  I’m never scared to ask people questions. Learning is more important than being seen as smart.

 

Took me a while to connect to Saudi culture. Through diving.

Very independent. Parents were very busy growing up. Growing:  Learning to open up to others. Learning to trust others I found my self getting more friends.

 

Cooking is the swiss-army knife of social interaction. Spend more time with family. Make extra to send to a friend.

Love language:  gifts, particularly food. Learning to cook with my culture’s ingredients.    Working on a cook book – Saudi ingredients.

 

Cooking is not seen as a “man” thing to do.  “It’s the only wet-lab work I like.”

 

Mostly just me exploring my curiosities—origami. Comparative religion. Investing/finance. Science. Reading.

 

Story:  Interview—bring something that represents you. A little device—spill water on myself.

Wild and out there and crazy—messages to get the Olympiad off the ground. Obstacles don’t bother me.

It’s too difficult doesn’t register in my mind. “I don’t believe in obstacles”    

 

Negatives:  Dad—Collateral damage and opportunity cost. Go so hard after something, I don’t have time for others.

Positives:  I’ve dabbled in so much I can help other people. Like helping dad after a investing mistake. It might take away but it also allows me to give.
