This concept is usually taught to kids via traditional " chalk and talk". its is however noted that this never usually is always effective to some students . I would perhaps try to let students use google to get different definitions in order to get different perspectives and hopefully a higher success rate would be gained.

Using ICT to help students understand the key concepts in this topic of Self Esteem was successful. Slideshows used in the classroom helped them arrive at their own definition of self esteem instead of the usual didactic method of giving them the definition. this way they could play a more personal role in their learning. hopefully this will mean that they will better recall the information

Some obstacles that could be encountered would be the availability of resources at the school in terms of internet acess and availability of computers for kids to work with. This obstacle can be solved through the use of group work or even allow students to view and comment at their home where available and if such isn't the use of the IT room should be considered for students who doesnt have such access.

This video clip can be posted on educational forums such as Edmodo where students can then share their opinions.

They were eager to answer questions and even gave feedback on the discussion.
I think a better option can be used for instance PowToon. I think the animation and presentation might be more attractive. I can even get students to collaborate and create their own and have them share.

Students today are so stimulated by visual media that traditional teaching methods are almost obsolete. the ability to use pictures to tell stories in the classroom is part of their nature and familiar to them. perhaps using video may offer a better way to communicate key concepts of self esteem to them. Students today are content creators on several visual platforms. I definitely intend to use video content creation as a form of assessment in the near future
