Many employers will advertise on their website and it is where you will submit your application.

You can also register your interest in their programmes and get notified when their apprenticeships are open.

We have 3 ways students can access the Apprenticeship Academy:

1. Annual Access - this is our most common subscription for schools. You and your students have full access to each of the 3 rounds of the Apprenticeship Academy. There is no limit to the number of students who register.

2. Individual Access - new for 2026, this options allows access for one student to one round. It is targeted at home-schooled young people or those facing barriers to attending education.

3. Term 6 Trial - new for 2026, this option allows schools to trial the Apprenticeship Academy for their students in the June round. There is no limit to the number of students and is a great way to support those at Risk of NEET.

To help make fully informed decisions it is important to know what all of our options are and make sure we understand each of them, creating a pros and cons list can be a great way of working out if an options is a best for for you.

Trying something out can be a great way to test an idea and reflecting on our experiences can help us to to decide our next step forward.

The DfE has encouraged that all HTQs are searchable on UCAS so UCAS is a great place to start although not all employers are doing this yet.

In Scotland, Modern Apprenticeships are available across a wide range of sectors and the format of training is decided by the appropriate Sector Skills Council.

- British and Irish citizens and people with the right of abode must be resident in the UK to qualify for apprenticeship funding.

- Non‑UK nationals must normally have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years, and not living in the UK mainly for education.
