One new thing I learned from this presentation is that when something is being designed, an architect and an engineer work together. The architect makes the design and the engineer makes sure that the buildings design works. They both go back and forth making sure.

I can apply this to what I have learned because we talked about how you have to be careful on how much weight you put on a structure. You would have to have an estimate of the amount of weight a building can hold. Also about how wind is a contact force and how it can affect buildings.

A new thing I learnt from the presentation is about a kind of house called Passive House. It's a house that can help you save energy because it reduces the heat or air from escaping and entering by making the walls extremely airtight. This way you use less heating or cooling systems, saving more energy.
