I think that the explanation part in the second paragraph of the letter is not needed, although it is understood why the applicant might have put it there. It is important that applicant know those things about the muscles, but chances are the person reading the letter already knows them. The applicant will want to keep the letter concise, to the point, yet descriptive, which for the majority of it has been achieved. He seems to possess all of the knowledge relating to the job position, and he seems more than qualified. But, the spelling mistakes and grammatical errors make it appear as though he does not fully care about getting the job. This is a document that should have been read aloud and revised at least once.
