The setting is her house, a bridge with no hand rails, and a station by the bridge. Kate Shelly risked her life to help others in danger. Her father died, and her brother ten year old brother drowned in a lake. She put the animals to high ground, but she put the piglets in the house. She heard a bridge break in the distance. So she went to find help so she crawled across the other side of the train tracks to find help and while she was crawling across the tracks a fallen tree was heading straight for her and she stopped and prayed then the tree was took under the water. She finally made it across she saw the train station she ran to the shack and when she got into the shack she kicked the door open and all the men in there turned around and looked at her.
