As Mr. Jeff often quoted, "It takes a village to raise a child" is a proverb originating from African cultures that emphasizes the collective effort and support of a community in a child's upbringing, providing a safe, healthy environment for them to thrive. This proverb highlights that a child's development is a shared responsibility, involving not just parents but also extended family, neighbors, teachers, and others who contribute to their growth, well-being, and realization of their potential.

Also special thanks to the staff members who took the time to share their experiences living in, or from, other cultures. Dr Bowling, Ms. Christina and Mr. Maz who, by the way, were the inspiration for the research project of several students that will be presented tomorrow morning in our first Celebration of Learning!

I am 100% positive that Ms. May will completely agree with this post so I must mention Ms. Lua on behalf of Ms. May.

It has been a true pleasure to see the team building new understandings and reflecting on practices to create change that will greatly impact our students' learning.
