The Pilgrims on Thanksgiving didn't eat turkey or much of the Thanksgiving stuff that we eat today. Their life was a lot harder and they had to make much bigger risks than we would have to do today. At that time there was a lot of open land that they had to figure out how to use.

They wanted to have a different religion plus have good jobs that's why they came to America. On the mayflower children had to drink beer because the water was so bad. Many people got sick and they couldn't do a lot without the Indians.

There were a lot of trees at that time so they cut down a lot to make houses. At that time there were also a lot more streams so, with help from the Indians they also learned how to fish.

I learned about the pilgrims with the pilgrim game, some videos about them, and other stuff.

Form ~ I learned about how Pilgrims were different for example they went to a different area out of England because they wanted to practice their own religions, so they traveled all the way to New England where they met the Wampanoag tribe and the Indians.

Causation ~ The pilgrim’s history (when they got to America) impacted our culture by like their Thanksgiving foods, and what they did during Thanksgiving, and even making “Thanksgiving” happen caused someone to make Thanksgiving a holiday and we still celebrate it to this day. The Indians and Wampanoag also impacted what they did because they taught them how to plant crops and other things.

Connection~ I learned about how geography shaped the culture like how the weather in “New England” and the terrain and stuff impacted what foods they had planted like only the corn had grown like what they said in the pilgrim game, only the corn grew and not the other things.
