I know that I am teaching information that is relevant, offers multiple perspectives, and won't shock my students.

It wasn't really mentioned, but the fact that we ARE teaching the Holocaust, especially those of us who were teaching it prior to the new law, is something to applaud.

I’ve always tried to teach with a less American centered view and that has been criticized by many coworkers but it was encouraging to hear other teachers who do that and that it is encouraged by other countries! True history is less about who is the victorious story teller.

Two things I will help support teachers who are teaching the Holocaust are: The important of showing different perspectives and analyzing the context. The value of using photos but looking at them as to who took them and why.
