For my instructional module, I plan to use a scenario-based activity that tasks learners with matching the appropriate responses to various scenarios. I could use something like drag/drop matching game in Rise or another online learning tool like SafetyCulture. Learners will review different scenarios of academic integrity violations and select an appropriate response for each scenario to practice and demonstrate their knowledge of our school’s updated procedures for reporting violations of academic integrity. This will prepare faculty for various cases they may encounter when working with students. The activity also prepares them for the many different scenarios related to academic integrity violations as each case can be vastly different from the next.

My course is designed to train teachers on implementing small group reading instruction using our district’s mandatory curriculum. After completing the readings in Module 7, I plan to include a Word Cloud activity using PollEverywhere. This will follow a video and article on small group instruction in a blended classroom. Learners will share characteristics of effective small group instruction, which will populate the word cloud. This activity will spark discussion about what small groups should look like and help guide teachers as they prepare to plan a lesson later in the module.

An interactive activity that I'll include in my course will be surrounding decision making. My course is an onboarding tool for an Instructional Design team. The activity will test the users ability to make sound decisions regarding design and communication. It will have some multiple choice, matching, and pictures reflecting different types of designs/working habits. It will be effective because it will help the learner think about ways of working but also in an effort for them to rationalize their way of thinking. Results that are shared with the Client will also provide insights into how the team works and if any changes need to be made.

My course is a training for teachers on how to use Quizizz in the classroom. The interactive activity that I plan to use will be a Quizizz Lesson. Teachers will complete a lesson that includes a short video, a poll, multiple choice questions, slides, and open ended questions about the Quizizz platform at the end of the training.

The purpose of this activity will be to demonstrate multiple features of Quizizz in one place. Throughout the training teachers will have learned, assigned, and designed activities with these features. This activity will be effective because it will allow teachers to experience Quizizz from the student perspective by requiring them to use the access codes and answer questions. Additionally, it will review the uses and benefits of Quizizz that were discussed in the training. This will provide teachers with a final opportunity to ask questions before integrating Quizizz into their classrooms.

My company requires employees to fill in a template then DocuSign and upload it into Veeva vault where it is document controlled. New employees create the document in their first sixty days and then it is uploaded every two years or when there is a qualifying event such as a promotion, name change or educational qualification to be added.

The interactive activity that I will incorporate into my course will be in Rise. Employees will need to recall the various steps that I have laid out during the course. There will be scenarios or matching options that they will need to work through that will mimic options in the Veeva Vault System.

I'm currently revamping a course that covers procurement documentation requirements within a specific tool used in supply chain. This tool has 12 tabs where procurement agents must record specific information. Right now, the course is structured as a two-day lecture with no interactive activities—just two full days of lecture (snooze).

To make the course more engaging, I plan to add a "reciprocal teaching" activity. Learners will be divided into groups, and each group will be assigned specific tabs to review. They’ll use a template (that will be provided) to organize the requirements for each assigned tab and then teach the rest of the class what they've learned.

This activity will be effective as it is designed to encourage engagement and spark meaningful discussions within groups, helping learners clarify any areas of confusion. Subject matter experts (SMEs) will be present to keep groups on track and assist with questions as they work through the requirements.

When groups present, SMEs will also verify the accuracy of the information shared and answer additional questions from the class.

For my course, I aim to create an engaging and interactive online course for the UA College of Arts and Sciences board members incorporating various interactive activities to enhance the learning experience:

I will be using surveys to gauge the current knowledge of the UA brand among board members. These surveys will be strategically placed at the start of the module to assess baseline understanding and at the end to measure knowledge gained. By using a mix of multiple-choice questions, true/false statements, and short answer questions, I will make the surveys engaging and informative. Additionally, I will incorporate instant feedback for each question to help reinforce learning and correct misconceptions immediately.

I will be using interactive PowerPoint presentations with video cameos from key University figures to add a personal touch to the training module. These presentations will include embedded quizzes and clickable elements that reveal more information when interacted with. Video cameos from branding experts, or alumni will provide real-world insights and emphasize the importance of adhering to branding guidelines.

Lastly, I will be using an interactive web page as a dynamic resource hub that learners can explore at their own pace. As they scroll through the webpage, they will encounter various interactive elements such as infographics, clickable icons, and expandable sections that provide additional information. This web page will also include links to downloadable resources, case studies, and examples of successful branding initiatives. By making the web page visually appealing and easy to navigate, I will ensure that learners remain engaged and can easily access the information they need.

My course is designed to train preschool ASD teachers on how to utilize MagicSchool AI platform for Individualized Education Program (IEP) goal development. This training is meant to assist these teachers in creating more accurate and concise IEP goals. I have several interactive activities spread throughout the course, but the one that I believe will be the most beneficial to my learners is in the "application" section. During this portion of the course the learners will be given the opportunity to pratice what they have just learned! Using the student profiles provided, the learners will create IEP goals with MagicSchool AI. They must remember to reference the steps we discussed in the demonstration and to refer back to their step-by-step guide handout. This is an opportunity for them to apply the new knowledge in a realistic setting, so you can easily transfer these skills to their classroom. Focus on making these goals specific and measurable.

My course is designed to teacher educators how to use Nearpod and all of the fun interactive features that it provides. While going through all of the different features, one of them is a quiz embedded into the lesson/presentation. The example for this will have a bunch of different trivia questions about the school, and the teacher who has the highest score will win a free sweatshirt of their choice that represents their school. By doing an activity like this, it allows the teachers to understand more about Neared and how it works, while still providing a fun and interactive activity that allows for some competition between them.

One interactive activity that I plan to use in my course is a scavenger hunt on the W3C website. Since this is a self-paced course, it can be difficult to encourage interactivity. This activity will allow the learners to take time exploring the W3C website with more intention. The scavenger hunt will list 5-10 different prompts/questions that will make they search for WCAG requirements throughout the W3C website. Ultimately this will get learner to become familiar with the W3C website, which they will be needing to reference in their future development work when building new courses. We will used a scored element with this built in to the course so the learner will know if they found the correct answer or not. I will also build in actionable feedback if their first answer is incorrect, the feedback will give them a hint and being able to locate the answer to the question before they try again.

My course is for a graduate instructor teaching Human Sexuality to students seeking a master's in counseling or theology. But, the course is not a counseling course. One of the modules is based on gender. Student must assimilate the information they learned and apply it, with an emphasis in practicing empathy. Students (MAY - haven't decided yet) fill out an empathy map (What did the character say, think, feel, do). Originally, we were going to provide students with a case study on a transgender woman's experience at a hospital. But, rather than having them read it, I designed an exercise in Storyline 360 where I provided ChatGPT with the case study and prompted it to BE the character in it. (I'd love to get feedback on this! It's still a work in progress.) You do have to wait a minute for it to initiate and start the conversation. I plan to make a disclaimer that this is NOT a real person but meant to allow students to ask questions and reflect. (Maybe someone has some more suggestions on how I should approach that?) After the activity, learners will discuss what they learned in breakout rooms (possibly filling out an empathy chart) and post their key takeways on Padlet. The padlet comments will help guide the synchronous class discussion and aid the instructor in iterating discussion content.

For context as to the information included in my instructional module and the learning objectives trainees are being tasked with meeting; the project this training is being structured for is that of developing simulated training courses for the United States Navy using an internal coding software that allows for the live editing and transferring of information to take place between a storyboard and the simulated environment built using the Unity game engine. Easy Engine is a software tool that was created by my current employer to enhance an ISD's ability to both create a storyboard and see it populate directly into Unity without any need for a middle man front-end developer (which contributes to bolstering production time and quality for the benefit of the customer).

The culmination activity for new ISDs-in-training will be completed at the conclusion of the final learning module in the course: Using Easy Engine to Setup 3D Environments in Unity. Once ISDs have completed their formative activities for the 3D instructional module, their summative assessment will consist of setting up a tangible environment in Unity by placing an asset with on-screen text and drop down labels, positioned perfectly with a unique camera angle. When each dropdown label is selected, the camera angle should adjust to a different part of the environment and continue to make the asset the focal point. The environment should include one interactive 3D asset from the list of available assets already loaded into the asset list, on screen text, and two dropdown labels that change the camera angle of the environment when selected. An ISD that completes this hands-on, directly applicable activity using Easy Engine and Unity should have no problem adjusting to production or editing work on the project, as they will now be fundamentally sound in all necessary facets of what will be encountered in their day-to-day work.
