I really loved Lelaina's guide for the land acknowledgment. This is one piece of reconciliation that has been difficult for me, and a lot of others I have observed and spoken to. I think this concept could help a lot of people who are unfamiliar with where to begin. I have created one based off the guide we were given, and with permission I would love to share it with colleagues who may find it beneficial.

This is a class profile for a grade 8 class I work with often. The teacher and I created it together, and a lot of the input was his.

I learned a lot too. Before today I hadn't heard of formative / summative assessment. Formative is standard assessment (tests, quizzes, etc) where. as summative is observed throughout the term and adapting to the needs of students.

Summative is similar to this activity in a sense of getting to know the class and looking at the best way to support their learning.
