LEADER
leader is someone who can see how things can be improved and who rallies people to move toward that better vision. Leaders can work toward making their vision a reality while putting people first.

ATTRIBUTES OF LEADER
1. Vision

The greatest quality any leader can have is vision - the ability to see the big picture of where the organization or team they are working within is headed, what it's capable of, and what it will take to get there.

2. Inspiration

Equally as important as having a vision is the ability to convey that vision to others, and get them excited about it. This means maintaining a positive yet realistic presence within the organization helping team members stay motivated and engaged, and remember what it is that they are working for.

3. Strategic & Critical Thinking

A good leader will be able to think critically about the organization or team they work within, and develop a clear understanding of its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (and how they as an individual can work to support or overcome these). They'll be able to course-correct when necessary, and be able to assess the work they do to determine how it fits into overall organizational strategy and goals.

4. Interpersonal Communication

Good leaders must be able to interact with other people in a way that feels genuine. This does not mean you have to be an extrovert or a people-person to be a leader - there are many excellent leaders who self-identify as introverts! Rather, it means being able to demonstrate empathy, engaging in active listening, and building meaningful working relationships with those around you, whether they are a peer or a direct report

5. Authenticity & Self-Awareness

One of the key ways to become a great leader is to be self-aware enough to understand your strengths and your flaws, and to build an authentic leadership style that's true to who you are and how you do your best work. You want to be the best possible leader you can be, not try to fit into a mold set by someone else. Try to embrace the things that make you who you are, and that will naturally translate into you developing an authentic leadership style.

6. Open-Mindedness & Creativity

Being a good leader means being open to new ideas, possibilities, and perspectives, and understanding that there's no "right" way to do things. Leadership involves the knowledge that success comes with a willingness to change how things are done and to bring in fresh eyes to inspire new ideas, in addition to trying to think outside the box as much as possible. Leaders must be able to listen, observe, and be willing to change course when necessary.

7. Flexibility

Leadership also means being adaptable and nimble when the situation calls for it. Nothing ever goes according to plan - whether you encounter minor roadblocks or large obstacles, you will need to be prepared to stop, reassess, and determine a new course of action. Good leaders will embrace the ever-changing nature of business and meet challenges with a flexible attitude - and be able to build inspire that same willingness to adapt in those around them.

8. Responsibility & Dependability

One of the most important qualities a leader can have is a sense of responsibility and dependability. This means displaying those traits in your individual work, but also demonstrating them in your interactions with others. Your team members need to know that they can depend on you to take on your fair share of work and follow through, support them through tough times, and help them meet both shared and individual goals.

9. Patience & Tenacity

A good leader knows how to take the long view, whether it's of a strategy, a situation, or a goal. Being able to take on any bumps in the road and persist on without getting frustrated or defeated is key—from small projects to corporate vision, patience is a trait that is essential to strong leadership.

1. A leader is someone who inspires passion and motivation in followers

  2. A leader is someone who ensures their team has support and tools to achieve their goals.
characteristics of a leader......
leaders across the board tend to exhibit seven major characteristics.
1.Purpose-
Without a sense of purpose, it’s hard to motivate team members. Leaders empower people to see the intention behind specific goals, enabling them to take equal part. Making the day-to-day process feel more purposeful helps maintain team motivation and personal investment in larger goals. Leaders who incorporate a sense of personal purpose in the company’s overall mission inspire individual accountability in their teams. This motivates team members to embrace their own leadership qualities towards big-picture achievement.

2.Motivation-
Leaders are great motivators and create value-aligned goals so team members feel personally inspired to work toward the company’s vision. Paired with consistent outreach, leaders empower their team members to work passionately beyond their responsibilities towards a common goal. Motivation goes beyond inspiring words. Great leaders talk to their teams, and listen to their ideas and questions. Being a leader isn’t about giving orders and managing results—it’s about listening, supporting, and inspiring the best from others.

3. Vision-
Leaders see the bigger picture and can unite their team members behind their vision. By incorporating team strengths and core values, leaders inspire their team with an end-goal that resonates with individual values and inspires action. Without a cohesive vision aligned with core values, companies often find themselves hitting goals that don’t progress their company in a specific direction. Staying afloat does not equal growth. Leaders are visionaries for growth and expansion.

4.Empathy-
Leaders empathize with their team members. It’s how they inspire people to work beyond their responsibilities toward a shared purpose. By listening and sharing their appreciation for their teams, leaders impart a sense of value. When leaders prioritize empathy and appreciate their team members’ efforts, they can empower team members to see the vision for themselves and act toward its achievement. Putting themselves in the position of their team members also helps leaders address critical concerns and provide solutions.

5.Creativity-
Whereas managers might feel inclined to stick to the status quo, leaders innovate in bold and creative splashes. Rather than being concerned with the chain of command, leaders encourage their employees to ask, “Why?” and think in new ways to realize a bigger picture. With a lofty vision guiding them, leaders embrace new ways of conceptualizing and strategizing. Nothing is off the table when it comes to providing imaginative and more effective pathways to long-term goal achievement and success.

6.Team vision-
Although the company's overall vision may begin with its leaders, their vision will account for nothing if it doesn’t speak to team members. Exploring the values and individual goals that bring meaning to team members helps leaders thread their long-term goals through individually motivating and fulfilling achievement. When team members share their leader's vision and values, they’re inspired to work beyond their responsibilities toward their goals.

7.Always trying to improve-
Leaders never stop bettering themselves. With an eye toward growth, leaders continuously seek opportunities to improve for themselves and their teams. This leaning towards personal betterment means leaders actively seek feedback and value ideas that favor efficiency and improvement over defending their egos. When leaders create an environment where feedback isn’t just helpful but highly valued, they inspire team members to voice their thoughts and bring the best ideas to the table. This can lead to higher innovation and long-term success.

                                                    Thanks
                                                  Praful Joshi

                                    BHMKucbatch

Leadership:-Leadership is the act of guiding a team or individual to achieve a certain goal through direction and motivation.
ATTRIBUTES:-
1. Optimism:A positive attitude can set the tone and motivate individuals to be more productive. People who are optimistic about not only themselves and what they’re doing, but about other people, are much more likely to inspire others to be, and do their best.

2. Ability to Make Difficult Decisions:
The ability to make difficult decisions based on the facts and circumstances of each specific situation is a crucial quality of effective leadership. A good leader will rely on both reason and intuition. Leaders must also know when to make decisions solely on their own, and when they can, and should, be based on the input of others.

3. Ability to Delegate:
A strong, confident leader is not afraid to let others handle the workload and can ultimately give credit where credit is due. They also get to know the people they’re working with well enough to decide who is best suited for the delegation of certain tasks.

4. Must be Approachable:
In order to keep the channels of communication open, a leader must be approachable at all times. This means peers and subordinates should feel comfortable bringing both good and bad news to the person in charge.

5. Integrity:
Neither adults nor children are going to follow an individual that they feel they can’t trust. In a culture where people’s ethical standards seem to be rapidly deteriorating, a leader that embodies integrity will stand out in the crowd.

6. Humility:
Humble leaders know that even though they’re in charge, the contributions of others are very important. It’s also necessary for leaders to understand that admitting mistakes is not a sign of weakness, but of strength and self-awareness.

7. Transparency:
People feel more comfortable when they know exactly what is expected of them and how those in charge expect them to accomplish those goals. In practical terms, this often means communicating face to face instead of by email and delivering important information in a timely manner.

8. Authenticity:
Effective leaders will not only be transparent regarding expectations, but about who they are as individuals. Authentic leaders direct with a consistency that is based on their true character, not a contrived style. Eventually, others will see through a facade.

While some individuals are born with leadership traits, nearly everyone can learn and build upon their leadership qualities, both personally and in the workplace. Striving to include these eight qualities can improve leadership skills and increase effectiveness.

A leader is the one in the charge the person who convinces other people to follow. A great leader inspires confidence in other people and moves them to action ATTRIBUTES OF A LEADER . VISION - Perhaps the greatest quality any leader can have is vision the ability to see the big picture of where the organization or team they are working within is headed, what it's capable of, and what it will take to get there . RESPECT- Treating people with respect on a daily basis is one of the most important things a leader can do. It will ease tensions and conflict, create trust and improve effectiveness. Respect is about more than the absence of disrespect, and it can be shown in many different ways .GRATITUDE- Being thankful can lead to higher self-esteem, reduced depression and anxiety and better sleep. Gratitude can even make you a better leader. Yet few people regularly say thank you in work settings even though most people say they’d be willing to work harder for an appreciative boss .COURAGE - It can be hard to speak up at work whether you want to voice a new idea, provide feedback to a direct report or flag a concern for someone above you. That is part of the reason courage is a key trait of good leaders. Rather than avoiding problems or allowing conflicts to fester courage enables leaders to step up and move things in the right direction

Organizational structure:- Organizational structures are essentially blueprints that reveal how companies are run and managed and how information is passed within the organization. An organizational structure is literally a chart or diagram that depicts the logistical organization of a company.

Types of organizational structure:-

Traditional:- A traditional line organizational structure is truly the place to start for most companies, especially the smaller ones that don’t necessarily comprise a vast number of departments or require a major number of links in the chain of command/communication. The image above is an example of what a traditional line organizational structure looks like.

Functional:- The image above reveals what a functional organizational structure looks like. It differs from the traditional line structure by means of the existence of established channels for the horizontal sharing of information and direction, with a substantial increase in the sheer number of lines of communication.

Project based:- One final organizational structure to look at is the project-based structure. It breaks a company up into groups based upon the projects it needs to complete. There is, of course, a primary leader – the director. Then, there is a manager appointed to oversee the team assigned to complete each project.

Leaders can work toward making their vision a reality while putting people first.

ATTRIBUTES OF LEADER
1. Vision
The greatest quality any leader can have is vision - the ability to see the big picture of where the organization or team they are working within is headed, what it's capable of, and what it will take to get there.
