An example of this would be the movement of women volunteering in jobs to create and ship weapons to battles. Also through propaganda (like posters or campaigns) they helped persuade people to enlist in the war.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

They also had a subsequent drive to end racial segregation in the American Armed Forces.</div>]]></description>

The US armed forces were very segregated, there were separate black infantry regiments and white commanders were assigned to them. The Fair Employment Practice Committee (FEPC) was created in 1941 to implement Executive Order 8802 by FDR. It was created with the purpose of "banning discriminatory employment practices by Federal agencies and all unions and companies engaged in war-related work".</div>]]></description>

The War Dept and Navy Dept blocked blocking military enlistments in early WWII because there were too many people enlisting. There were so many that they could not process them all. They ended up switching to using Selective Services, or drafting, throughout most of the war to help with processing and sending them where people were needed.</div>]]></description>
