There are some problems where I see through the perspective of the right side more, so I would personally consider myself towards the centre of the political scale. But, everyone does tend to lean more one way more than the other, and for me, it is to the left.

It is important that when reading the news, more often than not the main goal is not to educate you on the issue but to educate you on their side or perspective of the issue. Another important asset is the ability to fact-check and separate facts from opinions to not be swayed in one particular way over the other due to false information you had believed to be true.
