The way men dress is simple; blanket pants that are tied at the waist and at the height of the ankles, the shirt can be made of any fresh fabric and the most common colors are those of a strong tone; red, turquoise blue, yellow, green and always with long sleeves, the huaraches: there are two types, those with two strands (orcapollo) that are held with one on the big toe and tied with the other end through the heel and ankle; The other style is made of petalillo fabric and completely covers the foot, leaving only the tips of the fingers and the heel exposed. The most curious ones engrave their name and the ornaments with caps, and metal chickpeas are embedded in the cowhide sole. In this way "when dancing the stage", they do it with quite a lot of sound, sometimes overshadowing the rhythmic drawing of the violins and guitars, creating some solos between the dancer and the drummer, producing very agile pespunteaos and rolls.

He uses two types of hat: the comal hat with a wide brim and four stones, painted white so that it hardens, this is used by the most conservative hearts and by the elderly. The soyate hat; Long strips of palmilla native to the region called soyate are braided and joined together by hand along the width to give it the shape of a hat, also made of four stones.

The woman wears a bright colored skirt with a contrasting colored printed fabric flounce, usually the same tone as the blouse. Recently, for scenic reasons, some adaptations have been made, such as using the short skirt above the ankle but respecting its color.

The Cora religion is a mixture of both Christian and pre-Hispanic cults. In this indigenous religious system, Catholic deities have been assimilated to natural entities and phenomena: Saint Michael the Archangel - the Morning Star, Jesus Christ - the Sun, the Virgin of Guadalupe - goddess of the Earth and the Moon.

The stars, as living beings, are part of Korean mythology, in constant movement, daily they symbolize a cosmic struggle between light and darkness, which materializes in the daily and seasonal combats of the celestial bodies that represent them, and emphasizes dawn and spring.

Thus, the Sun and its ally, the archer, the Morning Star, defeat the stars and in turn are cyclically defeated by them; The stars are the eyes and soldiers of the Moon, goddess of the underworld and the night sky, the place of original water, from which fertility and life come. During certain ceremonies, human beings conceive themselves as images of the stars, in such a way that by executing certain actions they influence the celestial bodies, since everything that happens on Earth has a consequence in heaven and vice versa. Nature and its cyclical movements do not exist as a category independent of human action. On the contrary, the change of seasons and climatic nuances are conceived as an entirely cultural result, the correct execution of the ceremonies of "the custom", through which the forces of nature are encouraged to operate in accordance with what is expected by human beings. Everything that exists in nature has a certain magical power, and the Coras take advantage of these powers.
