         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Exposition</strong>: Branch Rickey signs Jackie Robinson to the Brooklyn Dodgers, calling him "just another player". Rickey emphasizes to Jackie he must focus on winning games to make money for the club (not to focus on haters). <br><br><strong>Rising Action</strong>: Robinson's signing puts Rickey and himself in a firing line of all of humanity as they face racism from the public and teammates. Robinson struggles to keep his composure when receiving violent threats from the world and when being discriminated against by his teammates. <br><br><strong>Climax</strong>: The Dodgers begin to come together as a team despite some teammates still discriminating against Robinson. In Robinson's heated at-bat against the Pirates pitcher, Robinson hits the game-winner. <br><br><strong>Resolution</strong>:&nbsp;Jackie Robinson becomes a figurehead for all people of color as he showed courage, bravery, and persistence throughout his baseball career. The world is starting to become more accepting of a colored baseball player. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Eddie Stanky began to accept Robinson because instead of judging him based on the color of his skin, he looked at him as just another teammate -&gt; Eddie replies to Jackie when he tells Eddie thanks for standing up for him against Ben Chapman: "You're on my team what the hell am I supposed to do". Through this, I can infer Stanky's attitude towards Robinson is shifting to acceptance. &nbsp;<br><br>The young white boy's reaction to seeing Robinson on the baseball field reflects how his father rubs off of him. I can infer the boy looks up to his father by the way he copies his actions.&nbsp;<br><br>I can infer Robinson's confidence is growing by the way he did not let Ben Chapman's bullying affect his play-&gt; Robinson went on to get a great hit and score the first run of the game against the Phillies </div>]]></description>
