As we compared T1 referrals over the past 4 years it looks like the number of referrals have decreased as the teachers implement the T1 intervention/accommodation as soon as a need arises. The T1 referrals have been more complex because teachers have demonstrated that they have tried multiple interventions before referring a student to T1 Talks.

Our PLC goal is to increase our students' music literacy skills. Over the past few weeks, we have been intentionally teaching and reviewing specific skills. We have created a list of common skills that we will be assessing in each grade level.

Goal is to get into classrooms more to celebrate the work that staff are doing to connect with students! You are all doing amazing things!! -need to continue to push myself to do a better job with this! Another goal is to continue to be present & visible for students to see admin in the building - need to use my rolling desk more! I think the morning announcements have helped.

We are creating breakout groups to practice the student's fitness testing goal that they picked to improve on from fall to spring fitness testing. Students are coming up with their own battery of exercises to participate in during our warmups to help meet their fitness testing goal. We do this daily at the start of class as our warmups.

Our PLC goal is to create study guides for each unit in each grade level, so students have that in common across all grade levels. We know we are making progress because we have a shared Google folder where we put all study guides. Overall we feel that the study guides are having a positive impact on student learning.

We are discussing how we implement the study guides and sharing ideas on how to increase their effectiveness.

Charlie and Auggie are gone but would confirm that our goal continues to be engagement (specifically time on task). Justin and I attempted an AI search of objective ways to gauge time on task. Most of them refer specifically to using timers and logs alongside of specific pre-determined benchmarks and expectations.

This year we are focusing on explicitly teaching vocabulary. We have created a common tool (Google slides) to introduce words and have students practice. Our plan is to have a pre and post vocab assessment with an upcoming novel to see if this process is effective.

Our goal is to work to implement three of our new standards this year. The first standard that we implemented was: Civic Skills: Apply civic reasoning and demonstrate civic skills for the purpose of informed and engaged lifelong civic participation. Our evidence for accomplishing this was our Presidential Election Choice Board. We are hoping to use this again in the future but hope to be able to provide more guidance to teachers to help them implement with their Advisories.

Math 6-8 PLC

Our Math 6-8 PLC goal is: By Spring 2025, the percentage of students in grades 6-8 whose score at or above achievement levels will increase from 51% to 55% as measured by the 2025 MCA Math Assessment.

We reviewed FastBridge data to see how our students are doing. We discussed setting up goals/challenges for students so they have an incentive to put in more effort. We feel students who are "doing their best" are improving. We feel attendance (sick/vacation) has had a negative affect on some students scores.

In class we are adding a 7th grade DIG course. Next trimester 6th grade will add a DIG course. We are going to continue to check frequently for engagement of students during instruction and work time.
