S.M.A.R.T GOALS

S: The goals I set for this term is like my other goals from the past. Those are listening to my teacher attentively. I can also do a bit of advance reading and studying for the lessons I take up in my class, so I could be able to really understand the lectures given by our teacher. Lastly is I could consult my teacher when I am having a hard time on a certain lesson. These were my “specific” goals for the 3rd term. I can say that I have achieved them a bit, but I till have a long way to go to improve. These 3 goals are my priority to improve at the last term of the school year, so that I can prove myself that I can achieve these goals.

M: I can keep track of my progress by consulting my teacher from time to time, so that I know what to improve and what to maintain at the same time. I can also write down my scores in my FA’s and SA’s I take up in class, so I can compute them and know whether I have to do better next time or if I have to maintain the grade I have right now. I can also use the FA’s and SA’s as a reviewer for upcoming tests, so that I know where I made mistakes and I can learn from them. These were my “measurable” goals for the 3rd term. I can say that I have not been really able to track my progress properly, but for sure there is always room for improvement.

A: I can achieve these goals by working really hard and really pushing myself to do my best. I can also ignore the negative thoughts coming through my head and focus on the positive thoughts. My family, friends, and teachers can support me in reaching these goals because they can help me if I am having a hard time with certain thing and most importantly they can also comfort me at my lowest.

R: These goals are important to me because they can really help me excel in school and it could be a really big help in my future life.

T: I can achieve these goals hopefully by the end of the term, but I know it could last maybe up to a whole year. I will really try my best to focus on my studies, so I can have a wonderful term ahead of me.

REFLECTING ON THESE S.M.A.R.T GOALS

I have a long way to go, but I am gradually becoming better every day as I think back on these S.M.A.R.T. Goals. I can say this because, despite making insignificant academic progress this term, there is still room for improvement and I can really do this! I'm making an effort to raise my grade and develop as a person. I am both pleased and unhappy with my development. Even though I made a bit of progress this term, I still have a lot of room for growth. This incoming school year, I'll do my absolute best to succeed by studying more, paying attention to the teacher's lectures, and consulting when I am having a hard time.

CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING

The task I really found difficult this term was the quizzes and especially LT3 that we needed to take. This is the most difficult task for me because this term was more hectic than the last. There are many requirements that were needed to be done like the AP Advocacy, Talumpati & Katha for Filipino. I know those are not excuses for me to have bad grades in math, but it was really challenging for me because of my time management. I was not able to manage my time in a sufficient way that is why I had a difficult time in the quizzes and LT's. Despite these challenges, a way that I dealt with this is to practice my time management properly. Thankfully in the first two LT'S, I was able to bounce back and somewhat pull my grades.

EUREKA!

My eureka moment was when I was unsure of the difference between permutations and combinations. I always ask to myself "Is there really a difference between these two because it seems like they are the same." I was really in deep confusion, but I researched about it, watched some youtube videos, and even asked my friends for help. Now I know what their difference is, Permutation has to be arranged in a specific order while combinations does not consider on how they are arranged. After, asking for help, I proceeded to share my learnings in class and actively participate in the lessons. I also passed the LT I took that included this lesson, and I was really happy about that!

MY BEST WORK!

For me, LT2 was one of my best works. Yes, it may not be a perfect score, but it shows that I managed to bounce back after a rough start. I am proud of this work because like what I said, I usually have hard times when answering long tests given because of my time management. This test I got to show how I improved my time management and somewhat my grade.

COLLABORATIVE WORK!

The broken plate activity is the collaborative work I chose. This shows my contribution helping my group solve for what is being asked. In the end, we were able to get the job done, but it was not enough. We used the party hat conjecture to solve for the broken plate circle. We also answered the essay part together as a group.
