If friends are not loyal then they can't really be trusted can they? Would you trust a friend who would betray  you if it was in any interest of themselves?? Or would you instead trust a friend who wouldn't leave your side no matter what? The friend who would stick by you is the only logical option. So loyalty is definitely important.
