Becoming a global citizen

We really enjoyed the presentation about COIL as a project and initiative that teaches how to become a global citizen. The group gave great insights into the collaboration with and mentoring of students from Spain. They enjoyed the experience of mentoring other students and giving them feedback.

I really loved how the presentation showed step-by-step how the project was set up. I thought it was very easy to comprehend what the project was actually about and what our (was part of the project, but not the presentation) role within the project was. I especially loved the student feedback because it showed that being part of this project wasn't only an amazing learning experience for us German student-teachers, but for the Spanish students as well.

I really liked your presentation, especially the special effects. It was fun to watch and listen to. The topic you picked, about how U.S. and U.K. high school students are shown in Pop Culture, is very interesting and important. It's great that you looked at it from what young people think, giving us a closer look.

This topic is very relevant to real life. It helps students get interested and learn better. It also teaches them how to deal with these stereotypes. Knowing about these issues is important because it helps us learn how to handle them.

I also liked how you let the students share their thoughts. This made them feel taken seriously and included.

My group really liked your project! It's kinda funny that you had so many interested international partners that you decided a toolkit would be better (in terms of the timeframe for the seminar). We also liked that you had a section dedicated to self-reflection (things you did well and to what you could have done better).

The idea to set this presentation and project up as a fairytale is super fun and propably makes it more enjoyable for younger students!

The cat as a commentator looks fun as well!

Personally I'm not a fairytale guy, but set up like this, it looks interesting to teach!

I think sports connects people more than anything else in the world. Taking sports as a topic is great and I'm sure it can build bridges between schools, students and international programs!

Would be interesting to see some sort of results or pictures from the international primary schoolympics!

Thinking about the student's side of the project, I'm sure it's fun to do sports in this setting!

I think your project idea is really great! Using sport as a means of bringing people or students together and making any ethnic or social background irrelevant is a really important initiative. I also think it's good to do this as an Olympic construct, as the competition can also generate a lot of motivation and effort is rewarded. It can increase both team spirit and self-esteem.

Wow, I really love your presentation and the idea with the cat, guiding through the presentation. I also like the idea to look at the different fairytales in different countries and figure out the differences. AI is an important topic these days, you show how to use it properly with the kids. The 11 phases of you project show how big this project can be. I think that also children, who aren't very interested in fairytales at the beginning will be fascinated during the work.

I think your topic is very important and often not easy to teach. The idea of creating a toolkit is very helpful for teachers who want to teach their students about democracy. I like, that the students can choose their preferred formats, because everybody learns in a different way. Also I like the style of your presentation. It is very structured.
