Self Awareness
Sydney is optimistic, compassionate, flexible, creative, and organized.

Emotional Awareness
Most times, I am informative, organized, and a leader. When the situation is stressful, I tend to be timid and worried about how the outcome will be. I find it easy to adapt to my surroundings. I recognize my emotions through what I choose to think about. I realize others' emotions by analyzing their current situation, facial expressions, and tone of voice. I create an environment of positivity in a workplace though emitting positive energy and support.

Values and culture
I believe you can always learn something new. This can be anything from learning a further skill/information or understanding a different perspective. I think that always being open to new and innovative teaching methods is an exemplary implementation in a work environment in learning how different people can build each other up to bring out the best of each other.

Leadership Style
My leadership style is democratic by communicating vision. I like to ask everyone their perceptive and ideas and try to come up with solutions to include everyone's interpretation that will be successful. I want to try a bit more authoritative. This is because sometimes I spend too much time trying to piece together everyone's ideas and prolonging to finish the project until everyone is satisfied, which may be harmful to the project's final success.

Personality and Skills
The DISC personality test showed that the most prominent personality characteristic is steadiness regarding how persistent and thoughtful I am. In my BIG 5 personality test, conscientiousness is the highest number that also describes my organized, responsible, and goal-oriented personality. With my top results reflecting the same traits, I believe it is very true to my character. I like to set high expectations for myself, achieve goals through improving, and have the motivation to learn new things from a different perspective. However, sometimes I set expectations so high it causes a large amount of stress and self-doubting my capabilities. On the opposing side, I have found myself not being assertive at times. It is apparent in group projects. Whenever in a group setting, I tend to contribute to the group as a leader in organizing, setting timeline goals, and giving everyone a chance to have the most substantial outcome. In asking for everyone to contribute and collaborate ideas, I find myself trying to find a way to combine all of our thoughts that may extend the initial stages of the project. Therefore, trying to find a way to please everyone in add a way to fit their idea in the project tends to cause more unneeded stress.

I attended the Otolo Mentoring Zoom session with Ms.Tamara Markham's breakout room focusing on leadership. The new knowledge I attained from mentoring is that there are more than just the traditional views of mentoring—for example, the traditional method of being a mentor and a mentee. I learned that the person you talk to or look up to for advice could also be a mentor to you without the official acknowledgment of the title "mentor." According to Ms.Tamara Markham, a mentor is just an individual that is "a good soundboard, resource, and well versed" in the topic you want to learn/improve. She also said that it is advantageous to "surround yourself with various mentors of different strengths." Markham also noted that it is essential to be self-aware in identifying my strengths and being open and welcoming to "experience anything and everything."

A leader is an individual who rules, guides, and inspires people to achieve a common goal. A manager is an individual that plans, organize, coordinates tacks, and is responsible for overseeing resources and processes. The Situational Leadership Model showcases the four leadership styles of coaching/autocratic, coaching/democratic, supporting/equal, and delegating/laissez-faire. All four of these leadership styles are interchanging depending on the situation. Most of the time, I try to hold a coaching/democratic leadership style to collaborate with my teams to reach a consensus and hear all feedback and input before deciding.
