And twitter, it's my go-to place for all sorts of information. Our workshop has it's own hashtag #cdlctechtools - if you're a twitter fan, share some ideas there and use the hashtag.

I love the iPad and love trying new apps. I actually even like some features of Windows 8.1! Pinterest is a "just for fun" option for me too!

I love Google Calendar, except for the random times when it doesn't sync between my iPad and computer!

I work for a very conservative institution, I don't anticipate being able to use new tools at work, but the single most valuable course I took in grad school was social software, learning and using a new tool every week, discovering ways to discover, plan, connect, and save. And, as much time as I spend online and researching pretty much anything that comes into my head, I don't seem to find new tools on my own -- very much looking forward to this workshop.

I've downloaded Pocket and Evernote and not taken the time to read and learn how to use them. Live demo would probably help.

Evernote and Dropbox work together to help me organize my thoughts, collaborate with coworkers, and back up my work/personal files. And they work smoothly no matter which device I'm using to access them!

Also, TeamViewer rocks if you need to remotely access computers to get files or help friends and family troubleshoot computer issues. You can give permission for one-time access or set up a more permanent link. I use it to access servers from my desk and help my mom with her computer.

Suzanne B - I would like to learn more about how to use Drop Box and how to get pictures from my iPad to share with others - either using Drop Box or Facebook. Then I want to print them in a high quality. Tried once, and got terrible results. I also want to easily share documents - I do use Google Docs but I find it not as user friendly as I would like - I know I need more practice. I LOVE iPads - greatest technology EVER!!

I ought to play around with Google Forms. Creates a form for others to fill in, then puts everyone's info into a spreadsheet for you to see. Haven't tried it yet....

I don't know what I don't know and so am interested in anything/everything! Would be interested in learning more about wikis and the advantages/disadvantages/uses of Google docs and Open Office. Also trying to figure out if using Twitter is worthwhile for me -- not a current user.

I like the birthday reminder app! I am in this workshop to learn more details about tech tools. There are so many out there, and some are great and some end up being just one more thing to juggle/forget about.

Don't know if this is part of the workshop, but would like to learn more about managing security on phones/computers.

Google forms dumping into a spreadhseet is very useful

I would like to use less paper. I would like push things to myself on a timed basis, not just a reminder. I love tools!

My latest boss is quite the techie and he wants me to change my reports to his style of doing it - which means using a PowerPoint/Excel application I never saw before

and in one session, he thinks I should have it nailed down. I don't!

I like Dropbox, but I'm annoyed that I've already maxed out the storage and wondering if it's worth spending to upgrade. I've given up on Evernote - didn't have the patience to stick with it. Really into the Google stuff - google hangout, google drive, google calendar, etc.

Trying to use technology more to sync communication between staff. Also trying to get them more comfortable in creating content that can be used on website, in e-blasts and on social media.

And also looking for a way to convert pdf files to URL. I am finding that a lot of software applications require this.
