1) i think that the former confederate states should be brought back into the Union without much repercussion. If you continue to feed the tensions and feuds built over the war and even before hand, then nothing will change or improve. All it would do is create more conflict and opportunity for a repeat. I think that they should get vote depending on the state, just as the government system was set up before secession. It balances out representation, alongside fixing the issue of feeling they have no representation in the Union

2) there will obviously be conflicts relating to African Americans being considered citizens. Especially in southern states, it’ll likely be met with nothing but passive aggression or even straight abuse and negligence. In my opinion, that is a given especially given the suddenness of the change. The south fought for having those slaves, and it’s only expected that they would be upset with them being considered equal to them. As messed up as that is anyways. I think it’ll slowly dissipate or real back with time, but until then all that can be done is providing legal protection to those who may be experiencing targeted whiplash

1- Confederate states are a part of the union and have to follow union laws even if they don't want to. I don't think there should be any repercussions in their past actions. I believe the U.S. should just move on to bigger and better things in the future.

2- I feel like the newly considered Americans will still feel targeted even after the Civil War, and this will cause them to get angry and now that they have more power do something about the way they feel.

I think the former Confederate States should start out being reintegrated with documents like the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, I also think they should rethink the American system and have less separation between the North and Southern states economically, both of them manufacturing goods rather than just the North taxing the South on theirs.

I think complications are definitely going to rise, there's going to be resistance against the integration of freed slaves.
