A great piece of educational technology for an elementary classroom is Book Creator. It’s a free, web-based tool that allows students to create and publish their own digital books using texts, images, drawing, audio, and even videos. Students have a creative way of making their own books which aligns with the Reggio Emilia philosophy which I believe in as it gives students an open-ended platform to create and express themselves.

ClassDojo is a valuable tool for teachers because it facilitates easy communication with parents, allows for positive reinforcement and behaviour tracking. Students are also very aware of their behaviour and points they have. Parents are also able to login using the parent part of the website and they can actively follow along with their child’s progress and behaviour.
