The discussion started with a summary of the meaning of this project and we talked togetherand asked the following questions:

Some have changed the subject compared to the one chosen in the first week, but most have kept the same topic.

In a natural way, by attaching sheets of different colors to the board (each color corresponds to a topic), working groups have been created!

This week students  worked  hard at their topics  I was worried becouse we have  had a long Easter holiday break but no problems.Finally they know  what to do , they were indipendent  and autonomous in the most of the activities, they really were able to understand in which direction they should go.I’m very proud of them they are doing well . I have some problems with  some families they should help their children in the afteroon activities  (for example buying them materials o going somewhere etc..) 

This week  students  worked  hard at their topics .  Things are going well... coding, computer,robot, reading , take care of pets,nails, hair style , History  students seem to be  very indipendent and well organized. Every week I have some problems with a small group  and I ask you some suggestions...I realized that someone who has got families problems can’t able to organize themselves in the activities.They forgot materials, they aren’t sorry, or worried they don’t have any reaction... I remember them during the first 2 weeks when they had to decide their topic... they didn’t have any idea what to do they didn’t have any interest ..... I think they are so involved in their problems they aren’t able to react . They have many problems at school, we tried to solve the problem with psycologist and meeting with parents.. but  nothing has changed. But I’ll try to have a reaction from them .... problaby their final project will be reduced...

I will briefly tell you how this third lesson took place! Even today the students were excited to continue in the project, but not quite ready ..

For today's lesson I had received the request to use the computer only for two students, but when confronting us on how to divide us and in what spaces almost half the class many students needed a computer. Although it was not planned and I was not organized to have half a class in a separate laboratory, I tried to please them with the help of our class assistant who allowed me to go around the various floors and classrooms. Despite the effort, it was not possible for me to follow them well because some of them didn't know how to use the computer and they expected my assistance all for themselves! They still managed to work but for me it was very hard!

At the end of the lesson I explained to them that this project is aimed at autonomy and that if they do not know how to use the computer they must choose other resources! Unfortunately, as I feared, some young people alone are very difficult, they need great help, but being a class of 27 and given the time available is not easy. Another problem I encountered in some students was the inability to complete the Plan. Although we analyzed it together with great clarity and attention, someone did not know how to compile it.

The positive note is that unfortunately today our support teacher was not present and that I certainly had more problems than expected, but it will not be easy anyway!

Summary the work of the various work groups (from a maximum of 4 people and individuals) formed in the previous meeting:

SPORT: Paliotti, Silvestrini, Piva, this last student had been absent the previous time so despite having informed him before today, he presented himself with a chosen topic to change and without any work material. I talked with him to try to help him, but thinking about it he thought of joining this sport group and together with the other two companions he went to interview the gym teacher. KITCHEN: Poli, Barboni. These two girls brought some sweets made by them today, and after making them taste they went to work on the Internet in search of recipes. Workplace Computer room

Several students engaged in different subjects worked on the computer in the computer room (together with the assistant Simona) starting to think about the presentation to be done for the next time.

The kitchen group (consisting of two girls) divided the work, and it emerged that one of the two did not have the material to work on the presentation.

The emotions group worked in full autonomy and organization in the library room. And the sports and computer groups have worked equally well.

A student asked me to change the subject, but I explained to him that at that point it was no longer possible. Another one had nothing to do and remained in the classroom without working.

The art group, not very balanced, has worked in the art room, and  interviewed me. Also the student who is practicing on the drawing of the circles with the compass. The student interested in languages ​​worked with motivation and autonomy.

In general, it went quite well, but some students showed they didn't know how to organize themselves.

Here some moments!

Last week continued the project   I realized that my students improved their way of learning, they are more concious of their project and their plans. The weekly plan helped them a lot to be indipendent and responsable. Next week they will present their project I think it’s impossible to ppresent all of them in 1 hour .
