every Year my local school does a yearly competition. You submit a piece that shows your voice. Showing your voice as a teenager is incredibly difficult because we are constantly considered to 'young' for our voices to matter. But sometimes our voices can shed a light on things and change perspectives. Sometimes the young people can even change the world. 

People like to say that young people are the most influental and they are right. But what they don't notice is how they are also kept in the dark. The only young people out there who have the ability to share there voice are the ones who have large social media platforms, or  who risk there lifes for things. But we don't need to risks our lives to be heard. We shouldn't need that. 

This year we decided to do something bigger. Were going bigger than a school wide competition to inspire others and show them we all have a say in things. That we all can change things together. 

This year we created the Dehlia Project. The Dehlia Project is a new project where we have student representatives (like myself) reach out to people across the country in search of people who would be willing to create a piece (Writing or Art form) For our magazine showing that we have a voice and we will not stay silent. 

If we can get enough works and enough visibilty it will be an actual published magazine. (We will only accept Pen Names, No real names for privacy reasons) 

This is your chance to get published! To show who you are, to write about your hardships. about diversity, about you. It can be a short story, an essay, or a poem, a drawing. it could be about any topic. As long as trigger warnings are included. Show us the deep dark stuff you experienced and how you've fought back.
