I believe that Mr. Stapleton is a suspect because when he came up to Watson he seemed desperate to help Sherlock and him with their case. When Watson turned down the offer, he made Watson feel bad by telling him that he "totally gets it". He was also really weird with living out in the middle of a creepy, scary, ominous moor.

My second lead is that I believe Beryl Stapleton is another suspect because she is living out in the middle of a moor, she is young and beautiful and chooses to live out there? She has to have some reasoning behind it, if she had a really bad memory in the city or someone is waiting for her there that she doesn't want to go see or she is forced into staying at the moor. Also she was telling Watson (she thought he was Sir Henry) to leave but even after she realized he wasn't Henry, she said never mind to him. Wouldn't she want ALL the people on the moor to and not just one?

My last lead is that I believe the Barrymore's have something to do with the deaths at the mansion. They have lived there for so long and they have lived with Henry, yet all the sudden he dies. When Watson asked if Barrymore's wife was crying he said no, but she was. Why would he lie about such a thing? They have been there for so long and then they say they don't want to be reminded of Sir Charles everyday, so they want to leave? Out of all the times, right now? They are either telling the truth, going to somewhere on purpose, or running from something.
