As a future teacher, my advocacy to help learners with intellectual disability is through requiring schools to have a different or specialized instructions, specifically for learners with intellectual disability. These instructions would be modified in a way learners with ID could understand. In this way, we would be able to help learners with ID to really grasp the instructions as they may have difficulty in understanding unlike other learners.

- Eusebio, Louis Jane G.

Because through this way, they are going to be more comfortable and motivated to learn in an environment where they are embraced and not being treated as outcasts by their superiors and fellow students. I believe this can be achieved through a holistic approach between teachers, parents, community, and government. If adults or the ones that are helping the children shape their future are stable then all children can have a brighter future. Collaboration must be strengthened so that we may also provide holistic education to young students with ID or any other students, diminishing the gap and restrictions that may be imposed by their conditions. Through this, all learners including those with ID will have an equal opportunity on showing their talents and skills and receive quality education that are appropriate for them to be able to reach their highest potential. I would also like to build a strong communication between all the parents to raise awareness with regards of the different kind of learners that their children can encounter and how they can encourage their children to understand and choose their action correctly through having meetings and programs. It is because it is a challenging, yet fulfilling part of a teacher. Yes, it has limited resources, inadequate facilities, and low diversity. We know that there are a lot of challenges So it is my advocacy to help those young learners to remove the barriers to discrimination and mistreatment in their community having that impairment especially when I have a student with an intellectual disability. I want to have class inclusion among children in rural areas including teaching them to promote equality and equity and have a local community engagement through advocating inclusive education in their community.

As a pre-service teacher, I advocate the implementation of specialized teacher training and seminar focused on teaching children with Intellectual Disabilities for those who wishes to know more about this matter. Personally, it is essential for us teachers to develop our love for learning. It does not end inside the four corners of the classroom. We also have to continuously equip ourselves with knowledge and hone our skills to give our learners the best learning experience possible. Attending seminars and trainings about handling students with ID will help teachers to deeply understand the child's situation, thus it will give them various ideas about what objectives, instructional materials, and assessment will they create to ensure every child's progress at their own pace. The more knowledge teachers gain from workshops, the more the students benefit from all their hard work, with, of course, collaboration with each learner's parents.

My advocacy is for teachers to have specialized training with an emphasis on pupils with intellectual disabilities. We must understand this because we will be in charge of managing the classroom and planning activities that will enrich them as well. Furthermore, it is important to have regular teacher seminar programs that will address the needs of students with intellectual disabilities. I believe it is necessary because these children may or may not display other symptoms that we are not prepared for therefore we must be equipped with knowledge and skills to deal with them. Children must feel understood and valued in the classroom, and I believe this is a critical role we play in their early years of education.

I do believe that an encouraging learning environment and a teacher who will value a learner's intrinsic motivation will help them reach their fullest potential. As a future ECE teacher, this will only be possible if I radiate positivity and offer them variety of learning opportunities that lacks favoritism, allows them to share their thoughts and opinions comfortably, and explore more about their capabilities.

-Teacher Larissa Faith R.

We all know how important education is, hence as a futurre teacher, I would like the people to know that education is not just for normal people but it is for everyone. Urge them, encourage them, and show them that they can and will learn no matter what they have. Show them that if they have the will to learn then they can truely achieve what they want no matter what challenges and hindrances they might face. At the same time be their support system and help them achieve their goals.
