A father should have a loving and supporting relationship with their child. Lord Capulet will tell her things to make him seem like he's a good father but when it comes down to it, he only cares about how the family looks. Lord Capulet chooses tradition over love, and his actions show it. He wants her to do whats best for the family even if it means her being unhappy. Whenever Juliet makes a choice that reflects badly on the family he is filled with anger, the on the other side when she makes him proud he loves her again like nothing ever happened. Therefore his words contradict his actions. For example, in Act 4, Scene 2 (Page 223) Capulet states "Don't worry, I will set things in motion. . .I'm not going to bed tonight. Leave me alone." However, when his wife leaves him to himself, he quotes angrily and in shock, "Hey! What? They're all gone?" This is evident that, perhaps, the things Capulet says, isn't quite always in agreement to the after-effects of it.
