My topic has to do with the mental help of my characters and a lot of juxtaposition. Here one of my characters is a very pink pastel girly girl. She appears very sweet and innocent but she is a cannibal and she is showing her true desires in this piece.

2.  How do you want viewers to look at and respond to your work?

 I want them to be shocked to think about this applies to the real world. I want them to think of all the people who appear perfect to think about who they really can be on the inside.

3.  How does your piece of art reflect your personal voice or style?  Be specific with examples.

 Hey pastel style is what reflects me. All the colors I use in the piece come from the inside. My style involves a lot of light colors and certain fashion styles like fairy kei, creepy cute, and decora and much more...!

4.  How did you respond to challenges that occurred as you worked?  

 I had to keep going through like what I really struggled with the most was smoothing out the circle around her but I pushed through and did my best.

 

2.  How do you think your plate turned out so far?

 I think it turned out really good and painted well.

3.  What was most challenging in this project and how did you get through it?

 The most challenging part was picking out colors and mixing them out with white. It is pretty scary since the colors will still be a surprise!

4. What did you like about this assignment?  Not like?

I liked painting on the plate it felt new and different and gave me more expeirence. I didn't like however how dusty the paint got.

I want the viewer to feel calm and safe.

Well I tried by making the girl pastel and relaxed

4.  What is something you did to push or challenge yourself with this assignment?

I pushed myself to work with oil paints and to actually finish a piece of artwork traditionally i struggle with that at times

I think it could be better and I have a lot of improving to do

6.  What is something that you could do to make your piece better than it is?
I think I could work on my color palette better next time and being more prepared
 

2.     How does your work reflect the theme of the project, "Making/Leaving My Mark".  Explain in detail with examples from your work.
I think it does well as I am just very connected to space and leaving this school with just a space piece is my mark and nobody else could create what I do with my own style and creative ideas of turning it 3d.

3.     What was most challenging for you with this project and how did you deal with it?
The msot challenging was honestly just working I lost so much motivation just because I am not use to working so large scale.

4.     What makes your artwork engaging? Be specific in your answer.
I think really just the colors!

5.     What were some decisions that you had to make during this process?  How did it guide your work?
I had to decide if I needed to start over or just simply cut my piece to make it work and that itself was difficult.

6.  What are your reflections on working large scale?
I think really I wouldn't do it again personally it is way too stressful and not my thing.

I want the viewers to feel very confused and conflicted when they look at my piece then figure out why he is that way and why the town is burning up.

I focused on it by adding the buildings below him and making him a giant.

4.  What is something you did to push or challenge yourself with this assignment (risks)?
It was risky cause this originally started out as a joke and not meant to actually be a piece. I just went with it and let it take me whichever direction it wanted me to go.

5.  How do you think your project turned out?  Tell me specifically why you think that.

I think it turned out alright for a joke and something that wasn't supposed to make it as far as it did. I liked the experimental shading I did and the use of new mediums.

6.  What is something that you could do to make your piece better than it is? 

I think I could have done better proportions for this character and maybe have given him something more appropriate.

I showed my voice by being out there.

It looks like the alien is looking at the viewer

It turned out great because i like my progress and i learned how to color
