Hello, I'm Fina, 2 weeks ago I was invited by my choir coach to be a choir officer on January 5th. I agreed and I practiced some songs that would be sung. But something unexpected happened, it turned out that my coach asked me to sing a solo song, I was very surprised at that time.

I said, "I can do it ma'am, don't worry," because I felt that my coach trusted me and I also wanted to try something new.

In this solo song, I found some difficulties such as the riff and runs, but fortunately I was able to overcome it at that time. The first performance began. I began to prepare myself not to be nervous and to stay relaxed. The eucharist celebration began with the opening song to the dedication song and so on. Until the moment when I sang my solo part.

"OMG i'm so nervous.. can I do this?"

However, expectations did not match reality, when I sang there were some parts that were out of tune so it was not pleasant to hear. I felt regret at that time, felt less confident in myself and started to be pessimistic,

"can I sing this song again?" That's what I thought.

Until a few days later, my choir coach invited me to sing this song at a eucharist that would be held at someone's house. My choir coach said I had to sing the solo song again. In my mind,

"I'm afraid, my voice will be out of tune."

But I dismissed all those negative thoughts and tried to start practicing again. Last Tuesday, was the day that everything changed, I sang the solo song well.

Even after the eucharist was over, there was one person was said,

"your voice is really nice."

I heard that, I was so shy and after all this, I went to my home with my choir choach and I learned to always be optimistic about everything.

The beauty of traditions in South Korea after work

South Korea has a lot of cultures that occur there. One of them is the tradition of bonding after work. This tradition is makes the closeness of the workers even closer. There are also some uniqueness that will make you curious in this tradition.

For the first time, I want to give my opinion to this tradition. In my opinion, this tradition is very unique. It can relieve the fatigue of workers and increase relationships with each other with workers. In the internet, this tradition called "hoesik"(회식) can strength the relationship between superiors and subordinates, and reduce stress. Moreover, according to the Korea JoongAng Daily, Of all the respondents interviewed, seven out of ten said they had experienced fatigue during the previous year. So with this tradition, maybe workers can enjoy their working time more and a good social situation for them.

But I have a different view about this tradition, they hold a joint eating and drinking event, but what they drink is soju (a typical Korean drink) which is alcohol. In my opinion, this drink is very bad for health, so it is better to replace it with other healthier drinks. In fact, quoted from food.detik.com, soju has an alcohol content of 20-40%. So if you want to imitate this "hoesik"(회식) event, it is better to just take a bonding event and with healthy drinks and food.

So this event has a lot of uniqueness that can be adopted by us, especially bonding after work which will relieve the fatigue of workers.
