In my 50 years of life I have traveled to 22 of the continental United States.

I like to spend time with my family. We travel together and spend a lot of time doing family fun trips. 

While our children were at home growing up, we took many historical trips. I taught business there for 8 years and then my job was dissolved because of budget cuts. I was told of an opening in another area school district in middle school math. I was not certified in this area but took the PRAXIS test and certified myself and applied and received the job at Pattonsburg High School in Pattonsburg, MO.  I taught there for 9 years and both of my children graduated there in 2013 and 2015.  I felt in the spring of 2018, the need for change and applied for a job as a middle school math, business, and STEM educator at the Jamesport High School in Jamesport, MO.  This is my current job and it has been an exciting year so far.

I have worked at a car dealership in their service department and at a local grocery store.  I have sold Tupperware at two different points in my life.  My job at Place's was cut short due to them selling out to Pamida. I chose to not have a job and go back to college. I was born and raised in Winston, MO.  I was the 3rd child in my family and was like an only child.  My sister is 14 years older than me and my oldest niece is 7 years younger than me. I attended Winston R-VI School district from Kindergarten thru twelfth grade.  Upon graduation I went to college at Northwest Missouri State University (OABAAB). I obtained my bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting (1994). In October of 1994, I married Vernon Parman and we have two grown children.
