         <title>Week 7:Task 6b: Written report &amp; Task 7: Present your final production with feedback</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>•<strong><em>Know: <br></em></strong><em>T</em>his week I had to do a presentation on my FMP to get feedback from people, and to see what I can improve on or what they like. I know that I can get up in front of the class even when I am really nervous about doing it. &nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Do:<br></em></strong>The new skills that I had applied are to presentation skills to show my FMP. The barriers were that I was very nervous about show of my work. I overcame it by doing a lot practice to an LSP. I am proud of the feedback that I received.&nbsp; &nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Show:<br></em></strong>I showed my work on showbie then presented to the class.&nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Improve:<br></em></strong>The feedback that I received was to improve the sound quality of the audio. Also I need to add some&nbsp; interviews to the video to see what people opinions about the&nbsp; violence in the game.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Week 6 Task 5: Pre–Production &amp; Production </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>.•<strong><em>Know:<br></em></strong>This week I had to do a lot of filming for the my documentary for the FMP. I got a lot of advise on the audio that I had recorded that helped me to improve on it the sound of the final sound for my documentary. Also I had developed on the editing skill that I had needed to use for the filming. I did not know how to change the sound of the audio but after getting help from Dave I could understand how to change the sound. <br>•<strong><em>Do: <br></em></strong>I had to find all the clips that I was going to use and the ones that matched to the storyboard and what I was talking about in the filming. I completed the filming at home on the Ipad because I could keep focus and concentrate on the filming. There were some barriers this week because I could not get some of the clips that I needed so I had to make the clips when playing the game. Also their was a another barriers because you could not hear some of the audio that was recorded but Dave help to improve on it. I am proud of the editing that I had completed this week because I had learnt more skills and applied them to my documentary.&nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Show:<br></em></strong>I showed my work on to Showbie so the tutor could see it.&nbsp; &nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Improve:<br></em></strong>I could improve on the my editing skills by improving on the sound and audio by keeping practising the skill that I have learnt from Dave.          <title>Week 5: Task 5: Pre–Production</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>•<strong><em>Know:<br></em></strong>This week I started the Pre-production plan such as storyboard to show my ideas in more detail to help with the plan the documentary that I want to make. This activity helped me plan a script. Before I did this activity of planing the storyboard I did not know how to write a script to go with the images. I also had to decide what location do use for the documentary.</div><div>•<strong><em>Do:<br></em></strong>&nbsp;The new skills that I developed were to make a shot list this showed the different camera angles, the audio that will be used and where it will be filmed. I completed the storyboard drawing a images of the screen shots of the game. and annotating the images. Then I typed the script by using the storyboard to help me. I when to the locations that I liked the look of and decided on the pod and siting area near the media classroom. I am proud of the work that I had completed like the storyboard because I add a lot of detail on the plan and it helped me complete the script for the documentaries that I am making.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Show:<br></em></strong>I showed the work on to padlet then added a link to Showbie so the tutor could see. &nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Improve:<br></em></strong>I need to keep proof reading my work because if I had a mistake on the script when I read it back it may not make sense,&nbsp; by changing what is wrong it will be make sense to the audience  when I film the documentary. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Week 4:Task 4: Deconstruct 4 Products</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>•<strong><em>Know:<br></em></strong>This week I learned how to deconstruct 4 documentaries. This helped me understand how to research different aspects of each one. I did not know the different styles of documentaries before this research. I now know what elements I need to include in my final project.  &nbsp; <strong><em><br></em></strong>•<strong><em>Do:<br></em></strong>I completed the task by using questions set by the tutor as a guide. I applied more research skills and went in to more detail about each section. There were some barriers, I could not find a video but I could find the trailer. As the trailers only gave me a small part of the story it did not give me a lot to go through. To break down the barrier I had to read the story instead of watching the trailer. This research only gave me a small part of the information that I needed. I am proud of how much information that I found and how I thought of other ways to find it.&nbsp; &nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Show:<br></em></strong>I showed this the work on Showbie so the tutor could see the work that I had completed.&nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Improve:<br></em></strong>I could have watched more trailers before making my final decision because it would have been easier to research and deconstruct them.          <title>Week 3: Task 3: Key Types of Research</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>•<strong><em>Know:<br></em></strong>This week I needed to complete the project proposal from last week. We also attended Dave's experimentation workshop which developed more ideas for what I could add to my FMP. I learnt how to edit and work with different people to do different camera shots.</div><div>•<strong><em>Do:</em></strong><br>The skills that I have learnt where to understand the project proposal questions by breaking it down into smaller instructions. I had learnt new skills in Dave's workshop that helped me film the documentary with my group. When we had finished the Interview then we needed to upload it to Dave’s Experimentation Research Assignment Folder. There was some distractions because some of the group could not stop laughing but we did complete it by the end of the session. I am proud of the project proposal that I completed this week.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Show<br></em></strong>I presented the work on to Showbie in to the folders that it need to go in to. We had to put it in to Dave’s Experimentation Research Assignment Folder.<br><strong><em>Improve:<br></em></strong>I will continue to proof read my work and to see if there is any misspelled words and that the work makes sense. The skills that I had learnt were to experiment how I could use different techniques in my FMP work . I will apply this to the following session.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Week 2: Task 2: Mind Map &amp; Proposal</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>Know:<br></em></strong>This week I started to construct a mind map of my ideas of making a documentary on a game called Call of Duty. This helped me find more information on the game and what I need to show in the documentary which helped me understand what I need to add to my FMP.&nbsp;</div><div><strong><em>Do:<br></em></strong>The new skills that I had applied was to make my work more organised and to know what I need to add to the work. I completed the mind map on word then went on to the next part of the task was the project proposal, I did this by following the guidelines from the other Padlet mind map that was made by the tutor. I did not understand some of the questions that was on the proposal and I did not complete it but I will carry on with it next week with some help. I am proud of the mind map that I have made. &nbsp;</div><div><strong><em>Show:<br></em></strong>I completed my work on word and then added a copy on to Showbie.<br><strong><em>Improve:<br></em></strong>The improvements I need to work on is to complete the work that I did not finish from last week. I will complete the work with an LSP and ask them for help if I do not understand what I need to do. The skills that I have applied was to proof read my work.I will apply this to next session.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Week 1 :Task 1: Annotated Mood Boards</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>Know<br></em></strong>This week we started the FMP (Final Major Project). I created two mood boards to display my ideas. I was able to research different documentaries to get ideas of there layout. I have more understanding of the information that is required and how to lay it out. I did not know what a documentary was at first but now I know what they are and how they show the information.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div><strong><em>Do</em></strong><br>The new skills I have applied were to do a lot of research about the ideas I could use for my documentary. I put all different ideas on to a mind map to show a selection of different subjects that I could use for my FMP. I found it hard to decide which idea that I liked the most. I am proud of the mood boards that I have created and the detail I included.&nbsp;</div><div><strong><em>Show <br></em></strong>I presented the work on to Showbie and I designed the mood boards and mind map using Word.&nbsp;</div><div><strong><em>Improve</em></strong><br>I could improve by showing more images of my ideas on the mind map and mood boards. This would make them more organised and easier to read. I could apply this to the next session.&nbsp; My mood boards look like mind maps I will make sure that I use more images next time.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Week 3/4: Task 3: Key Types of Research</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>•<strong><em>Know:<br></em></strong>This week helped me to show more ideas for my FMP by looking at different types of research on equipment, about the game, target audience etc.. before I had made the mind map&nbsp; I did not know what research that I wanted to look for.&nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Do:</em></strong>&nbsp;<br>The new skills that I had learnt was to expand on my ideas by answering the questions that the tutor gave me to improve my answers for the titles (Equipment, Tutorials, Target Audience and Previous work throughout course) At first I did not understand the instructions that I was given but after the tutor had explained again what I had to do I was able to complete the task. I am proud of the mind map that I had completed and how much information I had on the work.&nbsp;</div><div>•<strong><em>Show:<br></em></strong>I showed the work on word and then posted it on to Showbie.</div><div>•<strong><em>Improve:<br></em></strong>I feel like I need to keep up with the tasks that I am given throughout the week,&nbsp; because I find it hard if I don't understand what I have to at first, but when the task is broken down and I take photos on my ipad from the tutors board with the information on it, this helps me to keep up with the work.<br>&nbsp;Also I would like to add more images of my completed work e.g. screen shot of the game play that I will be making as this will help me boost my grades.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong> 1. Briefly explain what the idea for this project was.</strong><br> I my idea was to make a documentary about the computer game “Call of Duty” to show the violence with in the game and how this can affect children and young adults. I want to point out the negative side of the game and how it can have a bad influence on players. This documentary pretends to appeal an 18 to 30 age group audience which is players of the game and potential new gamers.  <br><br><strong>2. How did you go about generating and planning your idea for the production <br></strong>To create this project I started by doing some research and a brainstorm to take notes of all the ideas that I had. Then, I did a mind map to help me expand my ideas and begin planning resources and equipment needed to produce the documentary. Then I did a storyboard and an action plan that allowed me to plan in more detail all the shoots and whatever technical or creative materials that I need to use. Also I had to make a script to include the narrator’s voice overs lines linked to all the different video clips of the game play. Lastly, I needed to complete the different forms related to the pre-production paperwork, such as risk assessment or booking equipment.<br><strong><br>3. Analyse your final product in terms of artistic and technical qualities. Discuss the techniques you have applied to your work and any technical problems you have had to overcome. <br></strong>By analyzing my video I believe that on the artistic side of it, my creative approach was choosing the gamer’s point of view. I used my self as the narrator of the documentary as I am a gamer of Call of Duty and I am part of the age group that I aim to reach. Looking at the technical side of the project I can say that it was mainly an editing project, because I did more editing than actual shots. I prerecorded the game clips online, I made some still frames from the game by using my Xbox capture tool, after, I recorded the narrator’s voice on an ipad app called Recorder Plus. The only actual shoot I did was the introduction and the final clips using a camera by doing a flat shoot of me talking to the camera. Finally, I edited it to all together on Adobe Premiere Pro. As my video structure was very simple I did not struggle with any technical problems. <br><strong><br>4. Use annotated screen shots from your work to illustrate this? <br></strong>This is the still frame shot that I used in my video. I captured it with my Xbox capture tool. I had to time it to get the shot so I could use it in my film. I had to see how long the narrator’s voice so I can match the length of the voice to the image. I had to use an app called Recorder plus to get the voice of the narrator then add a copy to an email so I could get it on the computer. Then I add the voice to the images by dropping it in to the program.<br><strong><br>5. How effective was your planning and pre–production? Could it have been improved? <br></strong>The planning was a mess to start with because planning is not my strength but I am good at the practical work I had a clear idea about what to do. Also it was not hard to make the video. I  could get a better voice by testing the sound at the beginning. Also I could have added the clips of the game and add the sound of the game to the video to make it more interesting.<br><strong><br>6. How close is your final work to your original intentions? <br></strong>The final work is very similar to the plan. The difference is that I did not add the sound of the game because I wanted to avoid the bad language. <br><strong><br>7. What have you had to change and how? <br></strong>I would like to add the ending to the video to show who made it and the purpose of making it. <strong><br>8. How well did you manage your time and work towards deadlines? <br></strong>I worked at home and at college to make sure I could complete my work by deadlines.<br><strong><br>9. How effective was your research in helping you achieve your objectives? Give annotated examples from your research to show how it informed your development of ideas and final idea. <br></strong>The research gave me one some inspiration for my project. Also I had to find what documentary about and how to make it as well.<strong><br>10. What would you do differently next time? <br></strong>I could have added sound of music and the sound of the game. <br><strong><br>11. What are the main strengths and weaknesses of your work? <br></strong>The strengths are that I am good at the filming side and also I know how to use the equipment. My weaknesses are planning and to make a decision on what I could make </div>]]></description>
