A moment that made disappointed is during the inter-class handball competition last year. The Boys 'A' League of our class were against 1/6. After a very long match, we ended up getting a draw, and it all came down to a penalty score. In the end we lost. Everyone in the team looked gloomy and depressed after knowing of the loss. They were kicking themselves for the loss, and felt the world crushing down. All the efforts and practice all went to waste, and the hopes of getting a championship in the league were shattered. The class, after seeing the loss which devastated the group, went over to comfort them of their loss, although ourselves in our hearts also felt that it was a bummer.

Everyone has experienced a day where everything is just of utter annoyance. These are the kind of days where you will look back on with a frustrated frown. During the June holiday, there was this day where it corresponds with this description. I had the worst morning where I didn't woke up when my alarm rang at eight! Instead, I woke up one hour later and I had to meet my friend at 9.10. I only had 10 minutes to get ready and I had to pack my breakfast. As I was packing my breakfast I felt very fed up and heaved an exasperated sigh. However, it did not end there. My friend and I successfully made it into the MRT without anything else bad happening and although the unfortunate morning has already gotten on my nerves i decided to continue on with the rest of the day. This experience has taught me to have foresight on such unforeseen circumstances.

In life there are many moments which made me feel proud whenever I recall it. One moment that I especially remember that made me and my parents proud was the moment I received my PSLE results. I vividly remember feeling dizzy with delight as i was holding my results. My hand was trembling with joy while scanning through it. I showed my parent my results, and they were grinning from ear to ear. That made me feel really proud as my parents were too. All my hard work had paid off. That was one of the proudest moment till now.

I was disheartened when I failed my Primary School Leaving Examinations despite studying day and night and burning the midnight oil. My heart sank when I first gotten my paper and it felt like I hit rock bottom. My hopes were shattered as I hoped that I would pass the exams with flying colours and get to a good school to secure a good future. I felt like the world was crashing down on me when I realised that I could not even get to a normal academic stream.

One moment that made me feel completely taken aback was when I was told that my choir section was being changed from alto to soprano. I was truly not expecting that to happen as my usual vocal range is low and unstable. Due to the arrival of the new sec 1s, we had to conduct a vocal check so that we are able to blend with the new secondary one students. I heard that my conductor wanted to change my section and i was taken aback as I would be leaving my section mates. I would be joining a new environment which had a different feel. without knowing what to expect. I was in a dilemma as I could not decide on staying or leaving my alto section. I felt that I would feel left out as I was a newcomer to this section, and I was afraid that I would be the only odd one out. Even though the change was unexpected, I thought about it and was ready to take on the new challenge. I learnt that i should accept the challenge and that will make me improve as a singer. I had also learnt certain qualities that developed me as a student.

I felt so tired after sports day. My stomach was grumbling. I had a urge to go to a nearby shop to buy a snack. The smell of waffles wafted through the air. The smell was irresistible. There were a line of pastries sitting on the tray. The vibrant colours captured my eye. The employee came and asked what I wanted. I decided to go for something chocolatey so, I ordered a double chocolate waffle. The first thing I noticed was that he was not wearing any plastic gloves while pouring the batter on the waffle maker. My nose wrinkled in disgust. I noticed that his hands were smudged with melted cheese and butter. I moved my head away. The batter was soon cooked and he took it out with rusty thongs filled with filth and rust. My skin crawled in vile. I also saw flies swarming around the chocolate cream that was left open. I could not bare to see what he did next. It was sickening. He started to dig his nose and took the waffle to put in the bag. I left the place immediately. Now I understand why no one visits the place.

The car was driving at high speed however, at the sight of the red lights, the car immediately came to a halt with its break screeching loudly and gave me a fright. i could feel my heart palpitating furiously.
