The day before the Superbowl we had all decided to go to Ariana's house to watch it and just hang out together. We had a lot of fun just watching the game and eating the takeout we had ordered. The game was very stressful for me, considering I was a Kansas City fan, due to my dad growing up around that area and him rooting for them as well. On 1st and goal during overtime, Mecole Hardman was put into motion, he then circled back and was wide open for the game-winning touchdown. Of course, I was excited. But my friends were not, they just wanted to see my team lose since they weren't fans of football or their team wasn't in the championship. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'm looking forward to this year's Superbowl. I think overall the fun of watching the game was elevated due to the fact that I had a very fun day hanging around my friends as well.

Cancun Trip: Jan 12-16

In the beginning of the year, my family and I decided to start our year great and take a trip to a Cancun resort to have a break from the cold climate here in California during the winter. I had a lot of fun doing all kinds of attractions like ziplining or touring caves and other kinds of things on the resort. We went with family from here in the United States and Mexico as well, we all met up and even though our rooms were all the way across the hotel, my cousins and I kept meeting up to make the most out of our vacation. There was a lot of good food and drinks as well, along with the great restaurant architecture.

JROTC Camp - March 8-10

Leading up to March, Cris and I had been asked to attend a camp for our JROTC class and figured it would be too much work to sign the paperwork, so we didn't plan to go initially. A couple of days before the camp Coach Fuega had told the class that there was two more slots to be filled on the roster, me and my friend decided that it must've not been a coincidence. We signed up for it and pretty soon we were doing all kinds of fun things like rock climbing and hiking around various spots. In my opinion it was a really fun experience to have with one of my best friends and I'm glad that we ended up going and attending this fun camp.

My birthday - May 6

I had a lot of fun on my birthday, instead of celebrating it with a party in the middle of the week, I decided to just spend it on a calm day out with my friends and family. It was a really nice feeling to finally turn 15 because I feel like that is kind of a staple of growing up, a lot of people celebrate growing into adulthood and I think 15 is that kind of age where you feel like you're finally growing up. A lot of things that might not seem major to others could seem really important to me, and spending my 15th with my friends and family was really important.

Starting Sophomore Year - August 5

It was a really weird feeling to start sophomore year. It feels like you'd wait forever to go to high school since you were little and it was a really interesting feeling to comprehend that my first high school year was already done with and that I was going into my second. Since this life event is still going on, I'm a little worried for the next step of my high school career, considering it could all be downhill from here depending on how I plan my next moves. I am committed to succeeding and I hope that I do.
