         <description><![CDATA[<div>The essence of the problem that Hankook Textile needs to solve is whether it is unfair to give low labor costs to workers in low-wage countries. The stakeholders are the Hankook Textile Headquarters, Laotian workers, and a third party—various civic groups and NGOs, respectively. Laos workers and civic groups argue that they should comply with the international community's wage standards and treat workers right because they have values that transcend cultures such as basic human rights according to ethical universalism. On the other hand, Hankook Textile says, according to ethical relativism that it is not wrong to pay low wages in Laos, which has a poor industrial structure, and that if it costs more than that, actually there is no reason to produce them in Laos.&nbsp;<br>In the long run, if you think the company's reputation is considered important to revenue, you may take a loss in the short term, but if you plan to enter the next region, you can raise wages to international standards and maintain offshoring. On the other hand, moving the factory to Korea might impact company’s reputation, but profits could be made from creating jobs in Korea, reducing distribution costs, and tax benefits. Alternatively, another way of reshoring is to raise wages first, establish a factory equipped with automation facilities in Korea after the issue subsides, and relocate the production facilities to Korea. This solution can solve the problem of labor costs and social responsibility in the long run.</div>]]></description>
