I think it is really important that teachers are aware of this. Teachers can make sure they also give the option of taking the work home on paper too. They can also make sure to give plenty of time in class to finish the assignment with the device.

I think that now in days technology is such a big resource that we all need. However not all have access to the internet at home. A way that the teacher can help those who do not have access to internet at home is that she can start having a "tech study hall" during class. During that time students will have access to the internet and can complete the homework for that day without having to struggle at home with it.

Teachers should always keep in mind that not everyone is going to have access to technology at home. I think teachers should not require any homework outside the classroom that needs to be on some sort or technological device. I believe that while the student is in the classroom, the teacher can give that student all the work online because he/she has access to it, but after school, the student should not have to stress out over how they will get their work done because they do not have the means to do it.

Now that technology IS such a big part of our schools i feel like it is the teachers responsibility to understand that if the school does not provide students with the computers or ipads needed to work on assignments as home that all technology assignments need to remain in the classroom while the computers/ ipads are available.

There is actually a larger amount of students than you would assume who do not have access to technology at home. This especially has to be considered when working in low income school districts. I think to combat this issue, while still teaching each student what they need to know about the use of technology, it is vital that teachers do not assign homework that has to be completed using technology. A teacher cannot rely on a parent having technology accessible to their child, or rely on a parent to take their child to a public library to use technology.
