Gatsby and Daisy go out in town making their feeling towards each other come out. Tom and Gatsby's relationship is worse than ever and Gatsby may be caught in crimes towards the ending of this chapter.

Reverb and Attainable Since the Great Gatsby came from poverty and he was able to make it (though this is sorta superficial) However there is a hollowness to the American dream because despite all of his wealth, he does not consider his life complete without Daisy, and though the American dream is having all this wealth and money, it is also about being happy which Gatsby is not. So does he really have the American dream?

Chapter 7 shows the American dream to be corrupt and unreachable. Seeing how Gatsby gets the girl he wants to be with that comes with nothing but bad situations like his relation with Tom. On the way home from his great day with Daisy he is caught hiding in a bush showing his feelings for daisy has gone to far. Not only has he became obsessive over Daisy but Nick seems to be onto Gatsby and his criminal record.
