    The second entry in this list is interesting to me. I mostly know augmented reality, or AR, as a stupid gimmick in a few 3DS games. I had dismissed it as unviable for general use, but the construction engineering industry presents a possible exception. AR could allow workers to visualize and plan out an area before even beginning construction. The technology isn't here yet, and definitely won't be affordable for a long time, but it has the potential to revolutionize the industry.
