And thats were the figt for suffrage in the United States, and women’s rights began, back in the 19th centure.
 
The first attempt to organize a national movement for women’s rights occurred in Seneca Falls, New York, in July 1848. Led by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, a young mother from upstate New York.

Women's role in the 20s was being within the family under the authority of men. Until in the twentieth century, Mexican women made great strides towards a more equal legal and social status. In 1953 women in Mexico finally were granted the right to vote in national elections, but it was a hard way.

But still "violence in Mexico occurs to “nearly 7 in every 10 women, in private or in public domains,” according to Oxfam. Most parliaments don’t have a mechanism to enable women to safely speak out, that means they dont have any rights to talk about the treahts that had happend to them, and they cant be sure to get help.

New policies to combat sexism are being urged by the IPU and APU, including:

  • Safe spaces where victims can get advice
  • Fair and independent mechanisms for processing complaints confidentially
  • Training all parliamentary workers to identify and eliminate gender-based discrimination and violence.

Those rights were found by of 224 women working across 50 African countries and one sub-regional parliamentary assembly.

The Constitution of Russia, adopted in 1993, guarantees equal rights for women and men. Even before that, the Bolshevik Revolution granted women’s rights in Russia– including suffrage– in 1917.
However, women are still fighting inequality in many sectors. In jobs ore at work their still not equaly treated, ther earn anout 30% less salary that man on the same Job.

Domestic violence as a whole (which disproportionately victimizes women) is a serious threat to women’s rights in Russia. Woman beeing abused but dont talk about it ore report it to the police, becouse the most police officer just dont care.

But the feminism movement in Russia is growing every year. Hundreds instead of dozens of women attend marches and protests now, especially against the controversial decriminalization of domestic violence. The work of leaders like Leda Garina and Zalina Marshenkulov has fostered the growth of feminism in the public consciousness.


People still need to do more to improve women’s rights in Russia. Nothing less than significant legal reforms are necessary to change the culture of misogyny in the country. Gender equality might be a long way off for Russian women, but because of activists and NGOs fighting for their rights under the law, hope is on the horizon.

By the 1980s, women’s rights movements had gained more momentum when the Turkish government responded to protests regarding violence against women.

In Turkey there are woman that are beeing abused by their husbands every day.
Becous of that, the Republic of Turkey in 2011 (along with many other European countries) drafted and signed a resolution known as the Istanbul Convention to further solidify and protect women’s rights. This resolution provided strict legal action against those who committed violence towards women.  The status of women’s rights in Turkey has improved significantly since 1923, but the existence of said rights are currently at stake.


Today, activists in Turkey are continuing to support organizations and campaigns working to strengthen and protect women’s rights. There is still much work to do to ensure to protect women’s rights in Turkey.

A lot of woman in India have to fight for their rights and equality.
Violence has always been a problem. In a survey with young men and women in India, 57% of boys and 53% girls accept women beating by husbands is justified.
 In another recent survey between 2015-2016, it revealed, 80% of working women suffer domestic violence at the hands of their husbands.

But not all woman will exept that. Aashima Samuel is a jung woman who fights the rights of other woman and children. Almost 18 million people in India are alone, mostly woman ore children, and expirienced all kind of violence like sexual abuse. Jung girls beeing raped and there not allowed to speack about it becouse of that system that has been in India for so long now.
