one of the messages are they wanted us to disappear, but we still here. We tried to force indigenous people out of their homes and land which was not okay, but they fought back and are still here. She also talks about having unclean water and other problems on indigenous reserves and being treated unfairly by non indigenous people.

one of the many messages in this song is that even though all of the things that indigenous people had to go through, they stood their ground against people trying to force them out of their own property, she also talks about how unfairly the indigenous people were treated without have accessibility to things that others have easy access to, such a clean water and more. She's also saying how even after everything the indigenous have been through they are proud of who they are and they are not ashamed.

this song has strong points, of how we took their land and tried to push them out and how we didn't treat them good and they still stood their ground she also says about how they were divided and didn't have the same rights. As we learn more we can recognize all the bad things that were done to the Indigenous people.

The painting reminds me of the of the O Canada song but “on” native land instead of “and”. European settlers took over the land when they came here.

The song talked about residential schools and indigenous people going missing and not having clean water. I liked how she kept saying we’re still here showing us that indigenous people are strong and that the government should respect them more and do more to improve their living conditions in Canada today. It’s important for all students to learn more about indigenous culture too.

The colours and words might hold specific meanings in their community that they want to share with others to spark interest and conversation. Another reason this painting may have been created is to show resilience and protest that they are still standing despite the many years of colonization and oppression they have experienced.
