Fern - The most notable adaptation made by ferns is the presence of a rhizome. 
These Plants get about 100 inches of rain every year. Sitka Deer - A small black-tailed deer that is native to the wet coastal rain forest of southeast Alaska and north-coastal British Columbia. 
Animal Two : 
Spotted Owl - Lives in old growth forest and is an indicator species. 
These animals usually live in hotter areas, but the cold also means that some of these animals have not adapted to the temperature in the rain forest.
