Forest rehabilitation usually aims to re-introduce at least some of the plant and animal species which were originally found there. Reforestation helps to rehabilitate a deforested area through the planting of new trees. Sometimes tree species which are not native to the area may be planted because they are able to grow more easily and quickly compared to the original native species.
In Trombetas, northern Brazil, larges areas of tropical rainforest that were deforested for mining have been rehabilitated since the 1980s. Saplings of different native tree species are grown in a nursery from seeds that were collected from the surrounding rainforest. These saplings are then replanted in the disused mining sites. Soil that was removed during mining is also replaced, in order to ensure the survival and growth of the saplings.

reforestation helps to rehabilitate a deforested area through the planting of new trees. forest rehabilitation usually aims to re-introduce at least some of the plant and animal species which were originally found there. in Singapore, rehabilitation of mangrove forests has been carried on pulau Semakau, a small island which was partially converted into an offshore lanfill in 1999. The diversity of plant and animal species in deforestated areas is usually much lower compared to the roriginal tropical forest.

Protected areas can be known as national parks or biosphere reserves. Some examples of nature reserves in Singapore are Sunguei Buloh Wetland Reserve and Central Catchment Nature Reserve. Countries help to establish protected areas by having restrictions like it is illegal to cut down trees or poach exotic animals, which will have consequences. For example, they can be heavily fined or sent to jail.

One way they use to manage tropical rainforests is controlled logging. Companies are allowed to cut down older trees, a particular tree species which are economically valuable. The damage done to the forest is decreased as the other plants are left untouched. So, the trees that are cut down can grow quicker and other trees have more space and sunlight to grow. After they grow back, they can be logged again. This is a strategy to manage tropical forests sustainably.

The strategy is to set remaining tropical forests aside as protected areas as it is very restricted and it will prevent plant and animal life from being negatively affected by human activities. Governments usually put laws in place to ensure that people do not damage these protected areas. People who break these laws such as illegally cutting down trees or poaching exotic animals in these tropical forest can be fined heavily or sent to jail. This prevents people from harming the tropical forest. An example is Singapore has a total of four protected areas known as nature reserves of which two have been protected since 1951 and established in 2002 respectively. This is known as the Parks and Trees act(2005)

It means that people are trying to bring back a piece of land. This is called reforestation. Many countries use this common strategy by conserving the remaining of these tropical rainforests, they call this a protected area. By doing this reforestation, this helps us by re introducing some plants and animal species that were originally found there. This will help us in a higher rate of carbon dioxide being absorbed to produce more Oxygen to slow down the rate of the Ozone layer from breaking
