Don't be afraid to ask questions! It can be very intimidating as an intern or even as a new hire, but asking questions can make a huge difference in your experience at a company. I found that asking clarifying questions when appropriate made me feel much more confident with the task at hand, and prevented me from making easily avoidable mistakes. It can also show the people you're working with that you're taking initiative and showing genuine interest in the company and the work that you're doing.

Start networking early! It's important to explore and keep an open mind. So many people get fixated on one company/role. It's important to focus on creating relationships and finding mentors with similar interests as you. This will help you to find the right role and to have many options to choose from.

Don't be too focused on the end goal! Of course it is important to stay on track on work toward you goals but you should not pass opportunities up. Many internships and development opportunities may not be exactly what you wanted but you will still find useful skills and connections. Also, don't be afraid to go outside you comfort zone. Do what you find interesting AND what you are good at.

Imposter syndrome is a thing, and it's OK! Just remember that they picked you for a reason out of all of these other applicants. It may be hard to see that, but your continuous work shows you were perfect to be there.

Don't be scared to ask questions. Curiosity fuels knowledge. People on and beyond your team don't expect you to know it all and they are there to help and guide you. Utilize these avenues and capitalize on the expertise provided to channel your growth so you could one day be in a position to help an intern as well.

This might be a bit surprising but journaling about your day definitely helps. It's a great creative outlet to showcase what you've learned and express your thoughts and feelings about your experience. You can look back at those times and see what went wrong and what went right. It's also a great stress reliever.
