After hearing their personal stories, majority of the elderly there said that they were there because their children could no longer take care of them. Some of their children already went abroad while some do not have enough money to provide and sustain for their parents. 

This experience made me have a soft spot for the elderly. As a result, I now have a special appreciation for their diversity and uniqueness. At the same time, I also started to have a passion for learning different languages.

Prior to this, I would have never thought of joining the cheerleading team because I didn't think I was talented in dancing. However, I worked hard and took a leap of faith when I auditioned and I'm really glad to have made the team!

Being on the team was hard work especially, when it came to the trainings. Although what kept me going was my loved of being on stage and performing in front of a crowd.
