Most people now do not trust the government and in his speech Jimmy Carter was saying that we need to trust the government so the government can help us. But people didn’t listen because today many citizens don’t trust the government.

By not fixing these conflicts, America can go back to a really bad place. When Jimmy Carter became president, the economy was rough and people didn’t trust the government. Jimmy Carter wants to fix these conflicts so everything that went bad can turn good again.

These behavior changes are necessary to regain the strength of our nation. “We know the strength of America. We are strong. We can regain our unity. We can regain our confidence.
