In the future, students should work to call out any discriminatory behavior that they witness happening in the school to ensure that it doesn't happen again and they should focus on learning from those who have different experiences than them due to an identity that they may hold.

I would need to feel safe in expressing my identity, knowing that I wouldn't be judged by others, and I could use my identity to connect with other people that are similar to me and discuss ways that we could all be comfortable and valued at school, and also share our experiences with people who can't relate to us. Overall, the school should encourage a culture where there is less judgement and more acceptance of those who are different from us.
