     Instructional Objective
After an interactive read-aloud, a class discussion, and a jam board activity the students will be able to identify the parts of the story as well as describe the main. elements of the story such as who the main character was and being able to describe that person, what the main idea of the story is?.
     Learning target
I can understand the elements of the story.
Followup activities: Google form the next day and ask the students questions reviewing the vocabulary they learned the day before.
Homework: A flipgrid assignment based on a new story read at home.
Culminating assignment/project: Students will be working on a book review based on one of their favorite books in which they will explain the parts of the story as well as the main characters, the themes of the story, and the settings. This assignment will be completed using google slides.
