Being a tactual learner does affect my teaching style. And learning about this has been eye-opening. When I started teaching I revamped the classroom to create a warmer atmosphere. I even changed the lighting. Also, before we begin doing class work, we gather together in circle time. We sit on the carpet and comfy chairs, going through the alphabet and having show and tell, before we transition into work mode.

I am also an auditory learner which explains why I like to talk, haha. Part of my lesson plan also involves games that, at their core, center around words and sounds.

I do incorporate some kinesthetic and visual activities. But now, as I am understanding my learning style, I will be more cognizant of how others might be learning and provide more variation in learning activities.
