In a year, I like Tet holidays the most. Because in those days, my hometown put on a wonderful new shirt.
All the streets have been cleaned and decorated splendidly to celebrate the arrival of Tet. Twinkling lights, banners with New Year's slogans were hung everywhere. On the shops and restaurants are bright signs on the occasion of the end of the year.

At home, everywhere is a warm reunion atmosphere, when the children and grandchildren who have been away for a year have returned. Joyful laughter echoed from the beginning of the village to the end of the village. The sound of spring music resounded from somewhere, listening to it every year without getting bored. Slight in the air is the scent of compressed incense, the smell of boiled banh chung, the smell of cooking in every house... People walking on the street are relaxed and happy. Meet everyone with a smile and give each other the best wishes. The children were dressed in new clothes, red envelopes in hand and candy in hand, running around all day. The adults gathered around a cup of tea to talk about the past year. I hope my relatives will be healthy and happy throughout the year.
I hope every New Year will be as happy as this year

Today,me tell you about the biggest festival that occurs every year in my country.

It is a very important holiday for all Vietnamese people which often takes place from the end of January till the end of February every year. You know, people use the Lunar Calendar, which is according to the Moon, to count the exact dates. Luckily, this period of the year is in the spring season when the weather is good enough for the festival and for people to hang out as well.

The reason why we celebrate this festival is that it marks the end of the Lunar Year and the beginning of the New Lunar Year. Another reason is because after working hard for a whole year, people would like to take a break and forget about their busy life for a while. Moreover, they prefer to have some time for their family and Tet holiday is a good occasion.

Before the festival, what people should do is a complete spring cleaning which means they will have to tidy their house as well as decorating the ancestor’s altar carefully. During the festival, they will visit their friends and relatives’ houses where they will enjoy big meals with some special food like square sticky rice cake, cylindrical sticky rice cake, pickled leeks, braised pork and eggs. After the meals they often spend the rest of their time playing cards and exchanging lucky money. In addition, they will also visit pagodas in order to pray for a year of luck. But on top of that, they like to walk around the city center for some photo shoots in nice clothes and post their pictures on Facebook or Instagram.

I really consider this festival essential for some reasons. First and foremost, after a long time of work and study, it is a chance when I can get together with my family and friends to catch up with their life’s stories. Second, it is also an opportunity for me to get dressed up in nice clothes and take a walk in public places where I can pose in some fancy outfits. Third, since it is a long holiday. I can make use of the time by visiting pagodas to pray for a year of fortune, success and peace
So, those are reasons why I would like to mention Tet holiday. I really wish it would be the Tet holiday tomorrow so that I could enjoy myself.

Finally, it's time. The time of happiness, of lucky money, of family reunion and of "The Kitchen God" programme. It's Tet holiday! This holiday occurs in my country Vietnam, in the country that have the letter S shape, every year.
Tet often starts in the 23rd of December and ends in the 7th January (acording to the lunar calender). In the first day of Tet, everyone often busy. They need to do a lot of things like buy peach blossoms, worship the kitchen god(for some very busy family), finish the work as fast as they can to reunited with their family.
In the 30th of December (acording to the lunar calender),in the morning, people often make Banh Chung. When it's about 8 o'clock at night, I guess, all families will united with each other, watch "The Kitchen God" programme and shared to each other what did thay do last year. After "The Kitchen God" programme, they will watch another programme to know what did Vietnam have after one year. The last thing to do is wait for the new year. We often called that activity "countdown". The countdown clock is often starts with 60 seconds, but sometimes it'll starts with 10 seconds, and all we need to do is countdown with the clock. When the clock turn to 0 second, it's also mean that the new year is here.
On the 1st of January, some people will visit their realtives and the first people to visit your house is called house breakers. Acording to the history, some people thinks that house breakers will give us bad or good luck depends on their daily attitude. Kids often write something on the 1st of January. We call that activity is opening the first pen of the year. The writing can be a paragraph or a poem. And on that day, we often have lucky money. Of course, we can get lucky money in other days in Tet, but the lucky money on the 1st of January will give us lots of good luck. Some people will visit temples or pagodas to get good luck.
How about you? How is your Tet with your family? For the end of thid eriting, I hope you will have a happy new year. Wish you have luck for the full year!

The Lunar New Year festival usually takes place in January or February. Vietnamese people have been celebrating this occasion for thousands of years and have made it an essential part of the Vietnamese tradition. Lunar New Year’s Eve is not only a special holiday but also a chance for family gatherings and intimate get-togethers.
Since it is the most important holiday of the year, people pay great attention to everything they do and say during this occasion. Some common plans include cleaning and decorating the house, buying new clothes, making “Chung” cake, making offers for the ancestors, giving out “lucky money”, visiting temples and pagodas… and so on.
For me in particular and Vietnamese people all around the world in general, the Lunar New Year has remarkable meanings.

Hundreds off century ago, 365 days of year, people had to work for money. Every day, they always do their best. But then, somebody has created to celebrate the new year days, I think because he/she wants to relax after a hard - working year and for wishing new luck, money and love for new year. Now, in my country - Viet Nam it's really jubilant for Tet.

This event happens in the happy, fresh air of spring. I like the time of Tet 'cause it's the time that flowers bloom, there are rains to help seeds grow. Lunar New Year tells the period of the old year and open the shiny, bright door of future. According to the moon, Tet is on 1st, January (of the Lunar Calendar).

I think we celebrate Lunar New Year for these reasons:
1) After a hard - working years, people would like to forget about their business and relax for a while. They can raise love with their family when in normal days, they can't. They can also do their favorite hobby in these days.
2) To have a nice, comfortably year, people often wish for luck, money, warm, rich.... Because of this, people can spend time to present gods.
Fow these reasons, I think Lunar New Year is an awesome occasion.

If you ask how my family's Lunar New Year is, I would like to tell you! Before Tet, first, we ride our car to our homeland. Nest, we decorate and clean up the house. My mother said: " If you do best thing on the first second on new year, you will have best this through all year. " Then we go play somewhere to present gods and wishes for luck and happiness. Children voice pop, the joyful smile appears everywhere, it's so fun! At noon, we eat big meal with all of my family's member. Delicious! Then my sister and I wash our hands and run to kitchen. My favorite activity in Tet is making Chung cake. I can do it all day! Every year, I can make lots of cake. Finally, my mother takes out an enormous pot and we put water in. After, the Chung cakes are in there, with hot water. The last step is wait. We can go play with small fire outside (but no far - going) or wait with everyone. Then when it's 11:55pm, my father will take out fireworks and place it outside. Now it's finally new year time, the fireworks bloom to amazing shapes, I love it so much! The next day, my sister and I follow mother and father to houses. We get lots of lucky money!

In my opinion, Tet is a lovely and meaningful festival. Tet helps me understand how important family's love and time is and how amazing New Year, wishes is/

How about you? How / What is your Tet? I hope happiness will assist you in all 365 days of year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Spring is the time when families prepare to buy Tet together, gather together around a pot of green banh chung… Especially, with Vietnamese traditional Tet, Tet markets bring pride to our people. Every Vietnamese person feels like the breath of spring is coming very close. Wow! The spring scenery is so beautiful. The sky is clear blue sky. The clouds are floating in the high sky. A few sunny boys playfully danced, lingering on flower petals. The wind blew and made the spring air become cold. Oh! A beautiful flower garden. Sister rose and sister chrysanthemum race to bloom. In the bright light of spring, the landscape of my city seemed to wake up after a long winter. Bees and butterflies visit the garden to suck nectar. In the joy of all things, every house and everything is beautifully decorated, red flags with yellow stars are hung everywhere in the corner of the neighborhood as if welcoming a spring morning. Adults excitedly display fruit cakes. The children, dressed in new clothes, were laughing and playing. The red envelopes decorated with bright colors looked very beautiful.
I'm happy to see the outside world in the spring. I hope spring can be even more beautiful. Happy New Year!!!!!

Every spring, people in Vietnam celebrate Tet holiday as their biggest holiday of the year. This holiday between January and February and it is based on the Lunar calendar. Tet holiday is really important for Vietnamese people because this is the time that they can relax after a tired year and it is also a preparation for the next year. Before Tet holiday, my mom has to clean the house and decorate my house with red decorations. On Tet holiday, we also need to wear ao dai which is a traditional costume in Vietnam. They have different illustration and come in many colors. Every house has peach blossoms, yellow apricot blossoms or kumquat trees because this represents the happiness, fortune, prosperity and luckiness on Tet. People eat banh Chung and dried candied fruit on Tet holiday. Banh Chung is made out of sticky rice, meat, beans and it tastes incredibly delicious. Vietnamese people greet each other on Tet holiday wishing for other people luck and happiness by saying “Happy New Year!”. Every family gathers together on Tet holiday and eat traditional food. But the best part is receiving lucky money. Adults give children a red envelope with beautiful paintings on it and inside the envelope have money so we call it lucky money.

Lunar New Year is a famous in Viet Nam for many years. This holiday between January and February, it also depend on the Lunar calendar. Tet is very important with Vietnamese people because is the time to relax, there will be no more hustle and bustle and have a family gathering. Besides, some families enjoy this festival by preparing traditional food such as Banh Chung, dried candied fruit, sticky rice.... and decorating the house with parallel sentences and peach or apricot blossoms. In 30th of the january, 8 o'clock at VTV3 we can watch Tao Quan, it is so funny and interesting. That night I felt excited to welcome a new year full of luck and joy Especially, for me, I look forward to Tet holiday because I can receive lucky money from adults as a way to give I wishes for the new year. For adults, I think is just a normal day with some special, sometimes like the 1st of the new year they can be a lot more tired because of cleaning the house, going to New Year's Eve and making a feast. But we still welcome this. I hope to study well, achieve many achievements in the new school year and be more obedient. Last one wish you a lucky year and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The time for fun and happiness has come. Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year or simply Tet has come. It happens from 30/12 to 3/1 on the lunar calendar. In those days, I and my family did a lot of stuff. At half past eight of 30/1, we watched "The Kitchen Gods" programme on VTV3. It lasted two hours included advertisements. After that, I, my father, and my grandma played cards until 10 minutes until New Year. Although I didn't watch the fireworks in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh, my family got our own fireworks, which don't fly so very safe. After that day, I ate stuffed sticky rice cake for breakfast. Then, I received lucky money from my parents, grandparents and neighbors. I was gifted lots of money. After the third of January on the lunar calendar, we went home. I was very satisfied when going on that trip. I wish you will have a Tet as good as this one. Happy New Year!!!!!

During the year, there are many special holidays, but my favorite ones is Tet. Tet happened from the 1/1 Lunar calendar to 4/1. So I feel incredibly excited. My house has been filled with the bustling atmosphere of Tet.
The weather is getting warmer. The sky is no longer overcast like in winter. The sun has appeared to warm all things. A flock of swallows flew back as if spring had come. Hundreds of flowers are competing to bloom. The roads are swept clean. Every house has a bright red flag. Crowded markets, buyers and sellers. Everyone is excitedly preparing for Tet. Adults clean the house and go shopping. Every house prepares the material to pack banh chung, make Tet jam, or buy peach blossom and apricot trees to decorate.
At the end of the year, the whole family gathers around the New Year's Eve tray. Everyone was eating and chatting happily. In the evening, everyone watched Tao Quan, waiting for New Year's Eve. At twelve o'clock at night, the fireworks rang loudly. On the morning of the first day of Tet, I went with my parents to wish my relatives Tet. Everyone wears the most beautiful, brightest clothes. The street was more deserted than usual. I enjoyed a lot of delicious food and received a lot of lucky money.
So a new year has come, with many new joys waiting for everyone. Wishing everyone good health, luck, and longevity in the new year. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!💖💖💖

When hearing about the traditional holidays in Vietnam, most people would probably think about the Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year, which is Tet Nguyen Dan in Vietnamese, is a very special traditional holday. It is then that Vietnamese people celebrate the New year based on the Lunar calender. People often celebrate it from the middle of January to the begining of February. We wear ao dai, our traditional clothes, in many colors such as red, yellow, and purple. Before the official holiday begins, families make Chung cake and boil them to eat on Tet. Me and my family do special things together on Tet, like going to say Happy New Year to relatives, going to pagodas to pray, cleaning our house and putting up the kumpuat trees. Our relatives would visit us once in a while and give lucky money to me. Giving lucky money is also a tradition in Tet. Then, we would watch family movies together until midnight when we would watch the fireworks blazing in the sky like bright, beautiful flowers.
I felt very happy after Tet Holiday and I hope everyone else in my country had too.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
